“Seahorse by the Sea” is a beautiful, beachfront home that is perfect for large families and/or friends. It has three living areas, three kitchens, a private boardwalk to its own private beach behind the house (VERY rare in Destin to not share the beach with neighbors), and every bedroom has a view of the water. Amenities include a ten-person spa, free beach service, kayak, bikes, beach toys, computer, karaoke machine, and parking for five vehicles. Walk or ride bikes to several nearby restaurants, ice cream store or a winery!

New for 2025! New Cafe refrigerator in main kitchen. New grill moved to the top balcony. New garage door openers.

New for 2024! A 6-burner gas range with two electric ovens on the main floor, new microwave on the main floor, new dishwasher on the main floor, and new extra-large dryer on the main floor. We put the electric cooktop and built-in oven in the beach level suite, added a new full-size refrigerator to the beach level, and two new Beautyrest queen size mattresses on the beach level.

New for 2023! Two new air conditioning units, a 10-person spa on the beachfront deck, we converted the jack/jill bathroom on middle level to two separate bathrooms with walk-in showers. New vinyl floors in the bedrooms. We also added a computer and a karaoke machine for our guests to use.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Three-Floor Home

Beach Level (basement) | 2 queen beds and one twin daybed with a twin trundle.

1st Floor | Two bedrooms each with a king bed, living area/bunkbed room with two full size bunk beds with twin trundles, and a fold-out sofa.

2nd Floor | Primary bedroom with king bed, and a guest bedroom with two queen beds.

The top floor is the main floor. It features 10ft ceilings and travertine floors, a kitchen with granite counters, a living area with leather sofas and wet bar, a dining area which seats 10, the primary bedroom with a king bed and full bath, a guest bedroom with 2 queen beds and a full bath, and a laundry room. The primary bedroom and living area share a large balcony with stunning views. The guest bedroom has a view of the ocean from a side window.

The middle level has a living area with picturesque views of the ocean, a fold out sofa, two full size bunk beds with twin trundles, and a convenient kitchenette which is perfect for coffee, snacks, and drinks without having to go upstairs. One bedroom overlooks the ocean, has a king size bed, and sliding doors to the balcony and an adjoining full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The secondary bedroom also has a king bed with a view of the ocean from a side window. This bedroom also has an adjoining bathroom with a walk-in shower that opens up to the living area as well.

The beach level is separate from the rest of the home and has amazing views throughout. It has a large kitchen, living area, two queen murphy beds, and a twin daybed with a twin trundle. The bathroom has double sinks and a walk-in shower.

The beach level deck is very large and has a beach walkover for easy access to the ocean. The home sits closer to the water than the homes around it making it perfect for watching breathtaking sunsets.

A 10-person spa, propane grill, and a deck box filled with sand toys are located on the beachfront deck.

The bottom level has a walk-in closet with a beach cart, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, floats, life jackets, and paddles for the kayak.

We offer free beach service from March-October. Four chairs and two umbrellas will be set up Sun-Friday from before 9am-5pm.

A two person kayak is located under the boardwalk.

There is a large circle drive and two-car garage for lots of parking.

No hoa so feel free to rent a golf cart or put up a sun shade. No sharing our beach with a neighborhood or anyone else!

Wonderful walking and bike trails go both directions from the house. We have four new adult bikes for our guests to use.

Great location!

We had such a wonderful time on our family vacation. There were 3 families plus my mother n law , and we could all gather together in the family room, on the beach or on one of the spacious balconies… and when we wanted our space and our alone time, we had room for that also. Rebekah was awesome communicating and the check in was super easy. We definitely recommend this property.

Yearly family vacation

Seahorse was a beautiful home in a great location! There was nothing more we could have wanted or needed during our stay. Definitely saved on extra packing or buying of beach towels and accessories. Stop looking and book this home!

This home was great for our party of 11. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for 3 couples and our 5 adult children. The bottom level was perfect for the 3 boys and the two queens room worked great for the girls. This house had everything we needed. The best part was the private beach with chair service along with amazing views from every level.We also loved that you could walk to a handful of restaurants. (Crab trap, Kenny D’s, and Captain Dave’s were amazing)We would definitely stay here again. We have been going to different parts of Florida every year for 4 years now and this home has been the best yet!

PERFECT location RIGHT on the beach!

Four families of 3 stayed here with plenty of room. The teens LOVED their separate space away from the adults, while we all enjoyed the private beach right in front of the home. There was plenty of space to have privacy for each family while more than enough room for gathering as one to play games and talk. We felt bad for the people who stayed further back and had to walk with cartloads to get to the beach.

Family beach vacation

We had an amazing time and loved the private beach with beachside set up every morning for our family. The home was beautiful and the perfect setup for our two separate families with complete living space downstairs and lots of room on the two upper floors. This is a fantastic property!

The accommodations, the location, the owner, all make this property a fantastic choice. I have stayed at many rental houses in this area, and this was one of the most exceptional experiences yet. It is an extremely spacious house with lots of beds and areas to enjoy. The owner is focused on their guests having a good time, as evidenced by the amenities. A couple of our favorites were the beach side Jacuzzi and the karaoke machine! The house is situated such that every where we wanted to go was just a short drive away, or a short walk away. This is a memory making property!

Family Beach Trip

We took a leap of faith and booked this property when it first got listed. There had been no reviews so I was a bit nervous. Rebekah was great to work with. Answered our questions and was very accommodating. My wife and I were joined by our 3 sons and their families. 8 adults and 13 grandkids (ages 2-12). House was perfect. Bunk Bed room had trundles and a pull out couch. Lots of space and room to enjoy each other. We loved sitting on the decks in the evenings watching the kids play games and crabbing with their flashlights. Lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and beach toys. Our week ended too quickly. Precious memories.

Great Family Home

Beautiful home with all the extras. Easy check in process and great for large family or multiple family group. Lots of freezer and refrigerator space and two ice makers. Absolutely Amazing!

Best rental house I've stayed in! The owners were so very welcoming, helpful and accommodating! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There is ample chairs and umbrellas for the beach, and plenty of things for the kids to play on in the ocean. My kids enjoyed taking bike rides in the evening and watching the dolphins swim by from the deck. 14 of us slept comfortably in this luxurious home. I can't say enough great things about our experience staying here, the home is absolutely beautiful, location perfect and view was spectacular!

Exactly the family getaway we needed.

Plan was find a beach house to get warm after an isolated winter up north. College-aged kids spread out and enjoyed the ample space. House was equipped with everything we needed. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect location! We hope to return often.

My husband and I have 3 boys and live in TX. We love visiting Destin's soft white sandy beaches and clear water, boating, jet skiing, and exploring the state parks.

Why they chose this property

The water and beach is the most beautiful in the US and even better than some Caribbean destinations. No water shoes required, safe environment, short flights, and access to healthcare if needed are just a few of the reasons we chose Destin. The house is clean, updated, and has amazing views. The location is perfect! There is a guarded community on one side and an empty lot on the other so not a lot of crowds. We are not in a HOA or neighborhood and we own the beach all the way to the wet sand so our beach is private and only our guests are allowed on it. Several restaurants within walking distance, and premium outlet mall is a few miles away.
