White Mountain Memories in Sierra Pines
Our cabin is easily found in the beautiful Sierra Pines community located in Show Low, Arizona.
Our 2100 sq. ft. home sits on 1+ acres of pine and juniper covered forest providing our guests with the true feeling of being in the wilderness while still being close enough to town to enjoy all of the amenities that the Show Low/Pinetop-Lakeside area has to offer.
You can enjoy the outdoors in total comfort since our cabin has all the amenities of home, including big-screen TV (YouTube TV streaming service), stereo, books, games and puzzles. The master bedroom is located downstairs and features a full bathroom, its own private porch, two oversize windows with forest views, a king sized bed and walk-in closet.
Upstairs sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms, each with its own king-sized bed (California king in one). TV's are available in both rooms and feature the YouTube TV streaming service. A cozy loft awaits at the top of the stairs and is available to use as a quiet place to read or take a well deserved nap. The leather sofa here can fold out into a full-size bed, should additional sleeping accommodations be required.
Our home includes a covered rear patio with an extended dining area and gas BBQ grill. The large back yard is fully enclosed with a 42" high chain-link fence allowing your favorite pet to roam free and enjoy the outdoors as much as you do. A campfire pit and hammock also are available for your enjoyment.
Close to parks, shopping, entertainment and many recreational activities (Sunrise Ski Resort just a short 45 min. drive and the Hon-Dah Resort/Casino just 30 minutes away), there is something for everyone! As long-time Arizona residents, we understand that when most people think of our State they automatically think of the desert. Yes, we do have plenty of cactus covered scenery, but we also have beautiful forests and we make every effort to visit our corner of the tall pines as often as we can. We are happy to be able to offer this same opportunity to friends, family and guests as well.
Why they chose this property
It's not just a cabin in the woods, it's our home. As such, we have created a comfortable getaway that our family can enjoy when ever time permits. What this really means is that we have made sure that anything we, or our guests, might need for a short or extended stay is already provided.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is situated in an area that abounds with lakes, mountains, streams and rivers enough to accommodate any level of outdoor activity. Hiking, biking, fishing, skiing (in season), ATV riding are just a few of the activities readily available to our guests. Or, if you prefer a slightly slower pace, bird watching off of any of our three patios is a great alternative. Local communities also offer shopping, movies, festivals and plenty of dining opportunities.
LOCAL'S TIP: When in season, locally grown 'Taylor' corn is a must have and a real treat! This delicacy can be purchased at many locations in town, but we highly recommend the local Farmers Market for the freshest corn around.
