My party arrived in winter for Winter Fest. Pros: Great location, an easy walk to town. Our group was big, but we never felt cramped. The kitchen area is big and a magnetic space for gatherings. The table was set beautifully when we arrived, and a bottle of wine awaited us. The beds are comfortable, and the blankets are warm. There is a ton of adjustable lighting, which makes custom lighting (especially at night) really handy and easy. We watched the fireworks in town from the upstairs bedroom, which was really cool. The driveway is steep but wasn't a huge problem for us to navigate. However, if you aren't used to it, it might be a bit tricky. Someone came and cleared the main driveway, which made it much easier. Later, we got some sleds and went sledding down the driveway along the house, which was a lot of fun.Cons: (being picky) In the master bedroom, the dresser was hard to open and had loose knobs. The bathroom had lights that didn't turn on, and the jacuzzi bath jets refused to turn on despite my best efforts. The room grew a bit cold with the door closed overnight (though overall, the house was warm). In the room with the twin bunk beds, there was a chair missing the seat portion, covered with a pillow. In the basement bathroom, the floor was painfully frigid and could be improved with a cushy bath mat.Lastly, it was tricky to set the thermostat when we left. Overall, I would recommend staying here as we had a lovely time. Denise was kind and accommodating.
