Welcome to our one-of-a-kind 3-bedroom beach bungalow in the heart of Virginia Beach’s historic North End. Located one block from wide, white-sand beaches and one block from the serene trails of First Landing State Park, we offer stylish and pragmatic accommodations all tucked gracefully under two beautiful Live Oaks. If you’re looking for the most relaxing house in Virginia Beach’s most relaxing neighborhood you have found it.

Side note, although we are new to VRBO, we have over 34 reviews on Airbnb with 4.88 stars and have been hosting since the summer of 2019! We are so happy to share our home with you and hope that you will love it as much as we do. Thank you!

Another important side note--- bugs are hard to contend with at the beach and we are doing all that we can to prevent their sightings. We have been working with Fox Pest Control, a local Virginia Beach company, since 2019, who come out regularly to do outdoor and indoor treatments of our home. However, please be aware that you STILL may see a few cockroaches or ants. If this makes you at all uncomfortable, please, please feel free to continue your search for a vacation rental that suits you! We will not be offended :)

We love this house

This was my family's second year in a row staying at this house. We love staying here. It has everything we need for a relaxing stay at the beach to visit our family back home. I hope we can keep the tradition going!

Nice Location

Really cute house located north of the busiest part of Virginia Beach. Loved the short walk to the beach. Great place for family game nights n the evening, especially when the weather didn’t cooperate.

Winter getaway

We spent a long weekend visiting family in the area and really enjoyed this Live Oaks house. We have 3 children and were comfortable. The location in the North End of Virginia Beach is ideal, and it is nice to have the median when crossing Atlantic Avenue to go to the beach.

Enjoyed our stay with the family. It's a very cute house. Bathrooms and kitchen could use some updating. Room air conditioners that are pretty loud in the bedrooms, we found it best to cool the rooms off before going to bed and just turning them off. We were there in September, though, so that may not work so well in July & August. Great location to the beach. This was our first time to the North End and we're looking forward to returning. Be aware, the beach is very wide there but lovely and not crowded. Merry, the owner, is very nice and very quick to respond.

Amazing

The moment we walked in the door we knew we chose he right place. Cozy indeed but the entire space has a great vibe...….could be the retro décor, vintage and simple. The location is perfect; a hop, skip and jump to the beach. The beach was expansive, no problem finding a spot to settle with toes in the sand for the day. Close to restaurants and fun things to do...…not just by car but via bike. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and the owner, Merry, is absolutely wonderful!!!

Best Part of Virginia Beach

The house is located in North Virginia Beach which boasts unbelievably beautiful beaches. We had great weather for most of our days and were entertained one afternoon by a very large dolphin pod that frolicked in the waves in front of us for a long time. It is an easy walk to the beach from the house. It is also an easy bike ride to First Landing State Park. We bike there everyday and saw Osprey, red-tailed hawks and a copperhead snake. The house works well for a small family or two couples. It was well-stocked with supplies, the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed it all.

Perfect family house with fun style

We came for the beach and we loved the Nat Geo collection. The house was spacious and cozy. The large dining table was perfect for family meals and after dinner games. The access to the beach across the street was convenient and we did use the beach chairs, sand toys, and towels provided by the house. Overall. It was exactly what I expected, a great value for the off season, and I would stay here again. Husband loved the super hot water and good water pressure in the shower—it’s the little things! Kids loved the bunk beds.

Perfect beach house; my dream vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was perfect for us, very comfortable, and met all of our needs. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the living and dining room are perfect. The kitchen has most general items. The art is really neat. Everything about this house, from location to amenities, created the perfect dream vacation. The beach access at the ocean end of 81st and the trails access at the land end of 81st are the best, and the location is not far to drive to great restaurants and activities on Shore Drive or at the oceanfront. I wish I could live here!

I love playing soccer, thrift shopping, hiking, and reading. My husband is a musician and loves to surf. I'm so thankful to have friends and family who love to explore and share these many adventures!

Why they chose this property

My husband grew up in Virginia Beach and he and I were lucky enough to purchase this home in 2019. We have both travelled extensively, using Airbnb and Vrbo for more than a decade now, which has inspired us to have our own vacation getaway. We love art and design and just wanted to create something that we felt was beautiful that we could share with others. We hope you that you enjoy it as much as we have! Virginia Beach truly has so much to offer and is a really special place.

What makes this property unique

Our home is a short 4 minute walk to the ocean and is one of the few properties on Atlantic Avenue that is set back off of the road, giving it a much more private feel. The two massive live oak trees out front create a gorgeous canopy above the 3 private parking spaces. Although the house in on the land side of Atlantic Ave, we have never found it tricky crossing over the main road to get to the beach, even with our little boy ;)
