Amazing views and excellent service.

You can see the entire bay from both levels of the house. The retractable glass walls make you feel like you're right there in the ocean. Our flight was delayed several hours, but Lette still met us at check-in and provided us with a delicious dinner at a very reasonable price for 4 people. The space easily accommodated the four of us and could comfortably accommodate many more. The rooftop pool was a favorite spot of the trip for getting some sun and watching the sun set. If you don't mind the steep hills it is walkable, we opted to Uber most of the trip because the fares were so cheap. Ron, the host wasincredibly attentive and helped answer any questions we had, and helped alleviate some of the anxiety we had about traveling outside the US. La Zona Romantica was an amazing place to spend time in, with great restaurants and shopping incredibly close by. Would highly recommend staying here, unless it's pride weekend in which case i hope i beat you to the reservation!

Relaxing and luxurious stay for the family!

We had a wonderful stay with our family, including our two young children. Communication was easy, the meals Lette made were delicious, the house staff Mary and Yoshi were wonderful as well. The kids enjoyed the plunge pool and larger shared pool. The views were so lovely, especially the sunsets! We took Ubers to and from the house. We appreciated all of the amenities and attention to detail of the home and from the staff. We will definitely return!

Beautiful Spot

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Ventana for the week. The whole experience from start to the end was amazing and effortless. Ron and Moises did their best to accommodate and check in with us to make sure we had anything that we needed on hand. We visit PV yearly for the fiestas patrias and this was a gem of a location since it had its own pool at the top to enjoy the view. We look forward to being able to visit in the future as this house is so beautiful and relaxing and having the options to be taken care whether it be massages or help with groceries and of course dinner wise if we choose to in the future as well. Thank you to everyone at Casa Ventana.

OMG! WHAT A PLACE

OMG! From the moment we walked in we were mesmerized. Incredible views, great layout and furnishings. Everything you could possibly need from kitchen appliances, gadgets to bedroom and bathroom necessities. After being met at the airport and delivered directly to Casa Ventana (perfect name), we were met by our hosts. They gave us the grand tour of the two bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. OMG was all we could say. Then they showed up the upstairs! VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS! The pool, a wet bar and another bedroom, bathroom beckoned us! The pool was very refreshing after roaming the streets, day excursions and just for relaxing! Friends who came to visit were awed by the location, views, grandness of the casa. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and our host, who also arranged for in house massages for my husband & I.

Stayed at Casa Ventana January 29 to February 10. Casa Ventana is outstanding. Amazing views of the ocean, city and sunsets. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Pictures do not do it justice, much nicer in reality! Much bigger property than expected. Linen, beds and facilities are first class. Lette and team (Ruby, Rafael) were amazing from arrival throughout vacations, from airport arrival through departure, and able to address issues (even though only minor ones) quickly. Available, responsive yet very discreet, what more to ask, you've made these two weeks a dream to remember. We have rented properties throughout the world and Casa Ventana rates amongst the best for quality, service, availability of staff for cooking, cleaning and help with anything, and what about the views throughout the property! The property is not as far as some reviews state, and taxis are available and fast. Be ready for just a nice walk to town, if needed. The property is large, very comfortable and well equipped. Lette's cooking is so good! Arrived and groceries were done as requested, and more. Thank you all for making our holidays a success and exceeded our expectations! Looking forward to be back at Casa Ventana which I will recommend to all friends who go to PV.

A Very Special Place

My wife and I first visited Casa Ventana in 2011 and we returned for our second visit, this time for a three week stay. Having to travel from Australia, Puerto Vallarta is a long way from home but we said we would return and we did. This time we brought my sister and brother-in-law with us so that they could experience something very special that is Casa Ventana. Since our first stay in 2011 we have become friends with the owner Ron and have stayed at his other rental properties including his 5 star Fiji resort. As we said in our review in 2011 this guy knows hospitality at its best. Casa Ventana is a superb villa, spanning two floors with its own pool, three ensuite bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The views are breathtaking. Make no mistake this place is everything it is represented to be and more! The pictures do not do it justice. It was great to see Lette the House Manager again after four years. She is a very special person and the world would be a much better place if there were more like her. She is an excellent cook. You must try her Paella! We hope to return for a third visit sooner than later. To our dear friend Lette thank you so much for you hospitality and to Ruby the villa maid thank you for you help and assistance during our stay.

Hillside Dream!

We have visited PV a number of times, but this was our first VRBO experience, as we have only stayed in hotels previously. No more hotels for us - we will stay at Casa Ventana from now on! Pre-Arrival/Arrival: Ron and his staff are very attentive and professional, offering up lots of helpful information even prior to our arrival to help ensure a wonderful vacation (we used all of their tips and recommendations and they were all great!). They had a cab waiting for us at the airport, and away we went! The Condo: Nothing short of fabulous. The views can't be beat, and while it is located in a condominium complex, the way the units are situated, it feels like you are in a stand-alone home when you're in the condo. Loved the plunge pool - it's bigger than expected, with a shallow ledge section and a deeper section to fully immerse yourself in the water. And did I mention the views? They're spectacular from the pool. Staff: Yoshi, Aurora, and Eugenio were amazing. Yoshi took care of anything we needed and promptly replied to inquiries via text message. We highly recommend that you utilize the meal prep option; Aurora and Eugenio cooked meals that easily rivaled the best restaurants in PV, and the price can't be beat! Location: The condo is conveniently located a short walk from the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. The Malecon is also a short walk away. There are some portions of the walk that are a bit steep, but this shouldn't deter you from renting this condo. Our group of six (including three teenagers) walked it multiple times every day, but we did once take a taxi because we got caught in a downpour, and it was only 40 pesos (a little over $2). Also, I read in the reviews that someone complained they didn't sleep well because of city noise, and I honestly have no idea what they could be referring to. My husband is a very light sleeper, and we enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep every night! If you want a genuine PV experience in a great location with fabulous staff, Casa Ventana is the place for you!

Thank you so much for leaving such a detailed account of your stay at Casa Ventana and I am sure our staff will be thrilled to read that you were so happy with their service. Like all guest feedback, I share it with our staff during our weekly staff meeting (usually by FaceTime as I live in New Zealand). It is only through guest feedback that we really learn what we are doing right and also where there are areas for improvement. We have a really great team working in both our properties (Casa Ventana where you stayed, and our 7 bedroom Villa Ventana which is across the street from Casa Ventana) - and two of the staff you point out by name have worked for us for 19 years. I have owned Casa Ventana for almost 20 years, and it holds a very special place in my heart - having lived there for several years shortly after I purchased it. Since then we have went through several extensive renovations and upgrades, with the last full renovation about two years ago. Later this year we will be starting a "soft" renovation with many new furnishings, electronics, and more. Stay tuned for updates. Casa Ventana - A spectacular penthouse!

At the outset let us say that Casa Ventana is everything it is represented to be and much more! This penthouse villa is spectacular, the views are stunning and the location in Puerto Vallarta is second to none. It was well worth travelling half way around the world to enjoy! But our two week stay was far too short! As Australians we investigated long and hard before committing to stay in a private villa rather than a Resort Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Our initial email enquiry to owner Ron could not have been more reassuringly handled as he subsequently picked up the phone and called us in Australia to have a chat! He could not have been more helpful in providing us with information and ensuring our stay was first class. No wonder this guy owns and runs a successful five star resort in Fiji! Casa Ventana is truly an amazing villa spread over two levels, safe and secure, clean and well maintained and furnished beautifully. The panoramic views of the Bay of Banderas and Puerto Vallarta saw us spending many hours just taking in the vista and lounging in our own private pool! The location of the villa means it is a short 5 minute walk down town to the fantastic 'Romantic District' of P.V. with its wide range of shops, great bars and restaurants on the beach. Special mention must be made of Lette our house manager during our stay. She is truly an incredible person. Warm and friendly, a great cook whose meals we enjoyed on several occasions and who was more than happy to do our shopping for us so we could spend more time enjoying our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We met as strangers and parted as friends. We miss her dearly. All in all we can highly recommend Casa Ventana and Puerto Vallarta to you if you are considering a holiday. The mexican people are welcoming, warm and friendly, the food is fantastic, the villa superb, Lette amazing and Ron the perfect owner. Just one word of advice. When you come to leave you will realise you should have stayed longer.

Absolutely stunning property

Stunning views, wonderful breezes through the main floor. Top deck is absolutely gorgeous. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a hike up a rollercoaster of a hill to get there if walking but taxis are cheap and plentiful. We walked down most times and cabbed up although a walk was fine for the exercise. I would highly recommend this top tier condo!

Outstanding views!

We were 3 couples staying for a week. The accommodations with 3 bedrooms/4 baths, well-appointed kitchen, large dining room table, living room seating with outstanding views, private pools and wonderful staff made this a vacation we will never forget! The views above the city far exceeded our expectation, though the daily walking trips down and back for meals were quite a hike. We enjoyed the challenge and had some good laughs along the way. Every interaction with the staff added to our appreciation and enjoyment of our stay at Casa Ventana in PV. We hope to be back again...and again! Magnificent Views in Puerto Ballarta

The condo was spacious, clean, and luxurious, with amazing views of Bandaras Bay and the romantic zone. The rooftop patio with plunge pool and large guest room were especially nice. We had Letty make us dinner one night that consisted of guacamole and chips, tortilla soup, mango and jicama salad, chicken with mole, rice, and refried beans. Everything was delicious and there were enough leftovers to serve everyone lunch the next day. Loved this condo and would recommend it to anyone without mobility issues (multiple stairs on property and licated at top of hill from town).

Best views of Puerto Vallarta

The property was absolutely stunning! It had the best views from almost every part of the villa. The dipping pool was an amazing oasis during the hot part of the day. The large windows in the villa made for great viewing of the sunsets and thunderstorms. Lette and her staff were wonderful. We will definitely be visiting again.

Wonderful vacation

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Casa Ventana. The property is stunning , the views are spectacular. The property is tastefully decorated with lovely art and comfortable furniture. We enjoyed both the private plunge pool as well as the shared larger swimming pool. Location is great…we walked down to the beach and restaurant/bars. The taxi ride up is very inexpensive. You can walk up the hill but it is steep. I can’t wait to return to PV and I will definitely rebook at Casa Ventana!! The staff were friendly and very helpful!

Fabulous 50th!

Ron and Lette's team made my 50th extra special. Ron was very responsive and helpful throughout the booking process. Lette and her team did a great job at the property. The place is amazing and comfortable. I would suggest you have Lette cook for you at least one night. The convenience of her going to Costco for me in advance so the house was ready to go when we arrived was great. I will be staying again and a friend is already planning on booking her 60th here. Thanks for making my birthday extra special.

Private and comfortable with stunning views

Casa Ventana was the perfect location for our first visit to beautiful Puerto Vallarta. The location offered easy access to the activity of the Zona Romántica and Playa Los Muertos. The hill-side location may prove challenging for those with mobility limitations, but cabs and Uber are readily available and inexpensive. The noise from the highway below could be intrusive, as others have mentioned, but the bedrooms were quiet if using the air conditioning. Letty and her team provided efficient service. Guests should take advantage of Letty's wonderful cooking. We hope to return soon.

Stunning Amapas views and welcoming staff

The wow factor of this property is the 180+ degree views of PV and Bahía de Banderas. After checking out the indoor/outdoor open living space, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, you forget that there is also a rooftop negative edge pool, bar/lounge area, and ANOTHER bedroom and bathroom. Upon our arrival the manager Lette and her assistant met us with fresh margaritas, chips and guacamole before showing us around. It's hard not to take a deep breath and feel relaxed right away. Housekeeping staff did a great job during the stay, and were flexible by asking when we preferred them to arrive each day. It is possible to walk to Zona Romantica, but I wouldn't recommend it if 1) it's raining -- the Amapas streets are narrow, steep and mostly without sidewalks. Would be slippery when wet; 2) if you have any physical difficulties with steep inclines. We did the walk a few times, but much preferred calling an Uber or taxi. If you use a rideshare app make sure you drop a pin on the map and confirm that the correct street address is selected for your pickup. There were a few minor maintenance issues, mostly burned out light bulbs, but nothing that detracted from our amazing stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We purchased Casa Ventana new in 1999, and since then it has underwent three renovations. We are also the owners of the exquisite Villa Ventana - a luxury 12,000 sq/ft seven bedroom architectural masterpiece across the street from Casa Ventana. The majority of our guests are repeat visitors, which says a lot about the overall quality of our Puerto Vallarta properties and overall value for money.

Why they chose this property

On my first visit to Puerto Vallarta in 1999, as a property investor, I was inspired by a small condominium block perched on the edge of a cliff over town that was under construction. I walked up the hill to have a closer look, and was amazed. Two weeks later I owned the Penthouse (still under construction), and was involved in all aspects of the final design and fit out.
