"La Sapinette," less than 500 metres from the famous Cathar Trail, you’ll be staying close to many amenities. Located in Quillan, at an elevation of 300 metres, in the southern part of the Aude department, in the centre of a mountain cirque facing the Monts des 3 Quilles, you’ll enjoy beautiful views from the cottage. The town of Quillan is crossed by the Aude River, allowing you to enjoy a variety of whitewater sports or cool off at the Saint Bertrand recreation centre—which features supervised swimming—located 2 km from the cottage. It’s a starting point for many hiking, mountain biking, and cycling trails. The year-round resort of Camurac is 30 minutes away, as are the mountain lakes at Belcaire and Puivert. Quillan is also the crossroads between the Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales, and Ariège departments. The sites of the Cathar Country—including Puivert, Lapradelle, Puylaurens, and Montségur—are just a few kilometres away. In Axat, you can explore the fenouillèdes aboard the little red train. The Mediterranean beaches are 1 hour and 30 minutes away. On-site, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of the private, enclosed garden, complete with outdoor furniture.
