Cottage “2nd Lake” 2-Bedroom, Waterfront Cottage at The Lakes Old Forge

Cottage "2nd Lake" is our largest two-bedroom cottage, accommodating up to four guests. The main bedroom offers a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom features a cozy double bed. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure your utmost comfort.

Inside, you'll be greeted by stunning pine throughout, soaring cathedral ceilings, and a cozy propane fireplace encased in stone. The open-concept kitchen and living area provide a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by a spacious full bath with a beautifully tiled large shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave), a drip coffee pot, and a small toaster, along with all the dinnerware, cookware, utensils, serving dishes, and grilling tools you might need. A well-appointed kitchen nook also doubles as a convenient workspace for remote work. For added comfort, the cottage is equipped with ceiling fans, A/C and Heat, excellent WiFi and smart TV! The rustic and elegant Adirondack-style decor completes this charming, modern cabin.

Outside, you'll find a charcoal grill, a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack log-style chairs, and a picnic table. Plus, you can enjoy an unobstructed, beautiful lake view that enhances the serene ambiance. Firewood is available for purchase on the property.

Cottage "2nd Lake" is available in Spring, Summer, and Fall, offering the perfect retreat for any season!

In addition, there are complementary kayaks, canoes and SUP! Boat Rentals are also available on site- just steps from the cabins. We have a 20' Pontoon and a 16' Bayliner. Full Day and Half Day rentals offered! If interested, please inquire for pricing and details.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Lower heat to 62 degrees on the split unit (Only for stays during cold months). Turn off fireplace.

No lifeguard on duty. Swim safety form must be signed. Children under 18 must be supervised at all times. NO DIVING!

Summer fun

We had a great weekend. Property and cabin were very clean and well maintained. Swimming area was perfect and an abundance of seating near the water and on the boat house roof top patio. Property is easy to find and close to town. We would definitely come back soon for another great weekend.

Luxury on the lake

This charming property was the perfect stay for our family vacation! Aside from the spotless cabin which had all the comforts of home and more- the grounds offered us lake access with all the activities steps away from our cabin. The patios were perfect to mingle and dine with our family and new friends! The overall location was a brief drive from the water parks and town! Five stars!

Perfect spot for family vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay in cottage 2. This cottage is right in-front of the water & the kids loved watching the ducks and boats from our windows. Take advantage of the canoes & kayaks onsite! Kids loved playing in the shallow water by the dock too. Cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. We will be back again!

Our waterfront oasis offers upscale accommodations in the most beautiful setting! Our cottages, previously known as The Narrows Cottages of Old Forge, have a long history of families and friends vacationing here year after year, generations after generations for well over 50 years!

What makes this property unique

The Lakes is located on the First Lake Channel, also called the Narrows, which connects to First Lake and Old Forge Pond and various channels that link to several lakes on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, shopping or just sit back and experience the peace and quiet that surrounds you. The Lakes is just minutes to the Old Forge Public Beach, Water Safari, tennis courts, boat tours, churches, grocery stores, coffee shop, quaint gift shops, movie theater, arcade, miniature golf, and the community art center. Many within a walking distance! Not to mention excellent restaurants, hiking trails, lakes and ponds for fishing that are also nearby.

Also in the area are championship 18-hole golf courses: Thendara and Inlet. The McCauley Mountain chairlift and picnic area has a spectacular view of the village of Old Forge and the Fulton Chain of Lakes.
