Very impressed with the facility and all the supplies. Right on the river and fishing equipment available. Beds super comfortable, large modern kitchen. Excellent stay.
Might be the best place on the Kenai (Don't tell your friends)
I am hesitant to share how awesome this place is because I want to keep it to myself. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family of 6.
Mike did an amazing job making sure we were welcomed and had everything we needed.
We stayed in 3 different houses on our recent Alaska trip and this was my family's favorite! Had everything we needed, kitchen well stocked and view of river so relaxing! Loved having a fish cleaning table out back cause we caught lots of fish! Owners were so nice, will definitely return!!

Family trip to celebrate our 40 year wedding anniversary and my 60th birthday
Everyone loved the house and the fishing access. Michael and Breezie were so easy to work with. They gave us fishing information and shared tips about what to use and where to go on the river.
We also stayed in Homer, Palmer and Anchorage but everyone agreed the Cooper Landing house was the best!
Our family enjoyed this home on the Kenai river. Very clean and well stocked. Roughly an hour drive to Seward and Soldotna and not quite two hours to Anchorage. Communication with the host was good. Michael made sure we had what we needed and made sure we were comfortable with the house. Enjoyed the fire ring by the river! Plenty of room to fish whether wading or off the bank. Highly recommend this home. Hope yo return one day.
Wonderful House that Accommodates Large Groups Comfortably
Wonderful house situated on the beautiful Kenai River. This home accommodated our large group comfortably and provides all the necessities needed to have an enjoyable stay. We are repeat guest that would highly recommend this house. Communication with the property owners is great.
Location location location. Right on the Kenai. Can’t be beat. Fully equipped kitchen, newly renovated bathrooms, large and lovely master suite. Good for families, groups, long stays. We will be back.
From booking to arrival to departure the adventure was awesome! The home was a perfect for the 6 adults and one 17 yr old to celebrate anniversaries by fishing for Reds and Silvers on the Russian And Kenai Rivers. We ventured out to Solditna and Homer as well and the home location was perfectly placed to allow easy trips. Loved all the appliances and staples stocked and utilized the garage to on and offload all fishing gear. Our family even talked about renting on a yearly basis because of all the attributes as well as the great communication with Michael (location property manager)! Highly recommended!! Just don’t take our dates in the future!
This is truly a beautiful property. The house is well equipped with everything from cooking and eating utensils to fishing gear. The hosts were especially accommodating. When we found our motel closed up for Covid protocols, they saved us from the streets of Anchorage by allowing us to start our stay a night early for which we wiIll be forever thankful. Cooper's Landing is a spectacular place and a great gathering place for friends and family. We couldn't have picked a better location.
We loved our time here. The setting is gorgeous, the house is clean and well-equipped, and the homeowners left a fabulous basket of drinks and goodies that our kids in particular enjoyed working through during our stay. Highly recommended!
My family and I had an amazing stay during our trip. The gorgeous Kenai River is only steps away as soon as you head out to the backyard. Lots of space, clean, and comfortable. They even had fishing rods ready to go for us! The beauty of Cooperlanding felt like a dream. We would love to stay at this cabin again!
This was a super great place for our seven family members to stay. The owners were wonderful to work with and we hope to one day again enjoy their property. Thank you very, very much!!

About the host

I am just an old goat that loves the Lord, loves my wife and loves to fish. We 1st came to AK in 1995 for vacation and fell in love with the Kenai River and Cooper Landing. Unable to find property in Cooper Landing we bought and built our retirement home on the River in Sterling about 30 minutes south of here. In June of 2007 we found this magnificent place and could not pass it up. Still in Texas working and enjoying part of the summer fishing up here, all we need now is to figure out how to retire.
Why they chose this property
We chose this house in Cooper Landing because the views are spectacular, the fishing is fantastic and the wildlife/bird viewing is great. The location makes it the ideal location to access the entire Kenai Peninsula. The residents of Cooper Landing are some of the friendliest people we have encountered and are always willing to lend a hand and teach someone how to catch the fish of their dreams.
What makes this property unique
We have some of the best tasting pure spring water on the planet. Our spring was the water supply for Cooper Landing for many years. Pipped straight into the house it is fantastic. We are only 15 minutes from the world famous Kenai-Russian River confluence. There are numerous rafting companies within 5 miles of the house and guide services as well. We are only 50 min from Seward and 2 hrs from Anchorage. There are many hiking trails within minutes of the house as well. The Russian River Falls is an easy hike for bear viewing. Golf is only 45 minutes away in Soldotna.
