Please be aware that instantly booked reservations that do not adhere to our Saturday-to-Saturday policy may be subject to cancellation or modification. To avoid any inconvenience, we strongly recommend reviewing our booking requirements or contacting the listing owner before making a reservation.

Great for a big crew

We had a great stay. The house had plenty of room for everyone without feeling like we were spread too far apart. The kitchen had lots of prep space for meals and the outdoor amenities were plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Fun Spot

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beehive. Our family enjoyed playing horseshoes, mini golf and lounging in the pool. It is a short walk to the beach which was very nice. We also liked the two separate units which worked well for our group. The house was affordable prices and I would recommend staying there.

Great family vacation

Beautiful Sandbridge home in a great location. House was very clean and comfortable for our family. The kitchen was well-equipped for all our cooking and grilling needs. The pool was a highlight for all. It was very clean and well-maintained. The owners told us that the clothes dryer was not working properly upon arrival, but was replaced very quickly. The owners were very nice and were easy to communicate with. Our family had a wonderful vacation.

The property was just okay. We enjoyed the beach and the pool, and the location was wonderful. However, several beds were not made upon arrival, and several were dirty. Also, the first first floor was not usable given the musty odor and the amount of bugs. Some of the beds were okay, but many were very uncomfortable.

Great Gateway for Large Groups

My family and I stayed here for a week and had a great time! House had endless things to do from games to pool to great cooking space. Host was super responsive and helpful during our stay. Only con: mattresses were not super comfortable. Unfortunately we went on a cloudy week so there was no pool heat and it was too cold to go in without heat because the pool heat doesn’t work unless it’s sunny. No one’s fault as we can’t control weather but worth noting for future stays.

Beehive by the Beach

Our family had a wonderful stay at Beehive by the Beach. The interior was updated and had plenty of space for the 11 guests that stayed with us. There were plenty of outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained. The house is close to a beach access which made getting the beach pretty easy. The pool was typically too cold to use until 4 or 5 o'clock when the solar heated water really kicked into gear. Also, the downstairs bedrooms are only accessible from the outside. I overlooked this in the house description. All-in-all our family had a great time and we are looking forward to coming back to Sandbridge in the near future.

Bug House by the Beach

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Beehive by the Beach was, hands down, the most disappointing rental I've ever stayed in. From the moment we walked in, it smelled like it had been locked up for months, musty and stale. Cobwebs were everywhere, especially on the bottom level, including the back patio furniture, which hadn't seen a power wash in ages.The inside was even worse. We found ants and spiders crawling on the mattresses, in the kitchen, and in the shower. It was disgusting trying to sleep or even take a rinse without checking for bugs. The ice dispenser was revoltingly moldy as if it had never been cleaned. The same goes for the coffee machine; it's just dirty. And unbelievably, menstrual blood was left on one of the pillows in the living and bedroom.Some of the furniture was broken, and the overall condition fell short of matching the polished photos online. Ventilation was poor, making the whole house feel muggy and unwelcoming. Even outside, there were cobwebs everywhere, filthy patio furniture, and no sense of upkeep at all. As if the hygiene horrors weren't enough, the cleaner showed up early on checkout day, despite our late checkout being confirmed in writing. Instead of apologizing, she was rude and confrontational despite us providing proof. The only redeeming thing about this place was the heated pool. The only reason I'm not warning people to run screaming. However, even that can't save a rental in this poor condition. Beware!!

Beehive Review

The upper living area has three bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with two bunk beds. The beds were clean and comfortable, linens were provided. The kitchen and living room were clean, comfortable and had a lot of usable clean utensils, plates, coffee mugs, plastic children plates and cups. A highchair, playpen and stroller were available for free. They were clean and functional. The interior and exterior furniture was plenty and comfortable. The rental comes with a starter kit which includes the first fill of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and garbage bags for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom garbage pails. This is a great perk and gave us time to get to the supermarket. The lower apartment is separate from the upper living area. This space has a living area with two beds and a second room with two beds. The moldy, mildew odor prevented us from fully using this space because that odor signifies underlying mold issues. This was a major concern for us because there were two rooms we planned to use for our party. We brought a broken railing to the owners attention and received an unprofessional, accusatory response. Our intention was to ensure that no harm came to anyone walking up and down the stairs. We thought we were being proactive and helpful. A second issue occurred when we were leaving for the Aquarium and the electronic front door lock would not lock. Again when we brought this to the owners attention we received an illogical accusatory response

It's cute, but 1st and 2nd floors are not internally connected!

The overall cleanliness of the interior of the home was very good. However, the exterior and yard had some issues. The house clearly has an external spider/spider web issue which is was it is and is probably tricky to deal with. However, the yard had visible garage and areas of disrepair that were a bit disappointing. That said, we informed the property manager who dealt with those issues the same day we informed them, which was great. The location is awesome! It's a quick walk to the beach and seems be centrally located within the very cute/relaxing Sandbridge community. The pool is awesome and overall the house is lovely although the first floor did have a bit of a musty smell. However, and this is a big one that I feel needs to be highlighted, the bottom and top floors are not connected inside the home. In other words, if you want to get downstairs, you need to go outside and walk down the exterior stairs to access this floor and vice-versa. Not great if you were planning to have children utilize these rooms/space as you run into obvious issues surrounding locked doors, accessibility, visibility, sleeping arrangements, and your group being all together.

Worth the wait!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beehive. This was the first time that our family has been on a vacation in some years and we stumbled upon this gem of a location. It is literally about 1 block from beach. Sandbridge is a beautiful community and was very clean and quiet at this time of the year. We appreciated reading other vacationers reviews stating that the bottom portion of the house is not connected to the upper portion - it is essentially a separate downstairs apartment. We made good use of it, and it fit our needs as a family. The house was clean and really nicely situated. There was plenty of items in the kitchen and the property had lots to do. the pool was an awesome feature, and we were glad to have secured a residence with a pool when our younger children were tired of the waves! Owners were very responsive to any concerns and rectified them immediately when they presented themselves. We would stay here again for sure. Thank you Beehive!

So much to do on the property. Lots of activities for our young adult children. Loved all the hooks throughout the house. Please note the downstairs rooms are not attached to the upstairs room so depending on the ages of the guest it could be an issue. We had trouble with the internet and the service provider handled

Sandbridge is a great destination

The cleaner did not do their job. Bathrooms were filthy. Floors were dirty and there was not enough toilet paper or paper towels to last our trip. The pool was not usable. The cabana area was in disorder. Please note that the upstairs and downstairs are not internally connected. We would not have rented this location had we known this. Positives: Owner is easy to communicate with. Short walk to the oceanfront. Neighborhood is nice. Community store is close by.

One level living at its best

Short term rental for spring break was ideal for daughter’s family and my husband and me. While house could sleep 14, the street level bedrooms were accessible from outside only which we did not need but could be potential issue for other families. The solar heated pool was pristine and my granddaughter enjoyed splashing on the steps as too cold to enter pool. Very convenient to beach. I took several walks every day pushing stroller which was safe as off season. Don’t think would do that in prime time as busy two lane road. My husband was unhappy with 5 overflowing garbage cans which greeted us on Monday with garbage day being Tuesday. Coffee pot nasty looking but fortunately I brought my Nespresso machine. Keurig available which I was unaware of thus bring pods. Glad I visited Sandbridge but won’t be back as will return to flying south for warmer spring weather and go to Delaware or New Jersey if doing summer beach getaway
