The pool was the highlight of our trip, but everything was very nice: the area was pleasant and a bit secluded, the nearby town had a great pizza place and the house was lovely.
10 adults and 2 infants in our group, and there was plenty of space for personal time or group dining or game playing. Michigan weather cooperated perfectly with sunny skies and refreshing breezes! The kitchen was very well stocked and equipped, important for our family of foodies!
It was great location literally 4 minutes from the wedding venue! Very comfortable home and love the way they have saved the details of the old farm house! Thank tou
The Perfect Jumping Off Point In Southwest Michigan
I've been lucky enough to stay here a couple times. It's always lovely - We like to visit the nearby towns and head to River St Joe for good food and beer. This time we stayed on property for a guys trip and cooked and ate like kings and made a little noise in the music room. Looking forward to coming back in summer to use the pool!
House fit our needs well. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Pool was great. House was roomy and well stocked. Kurt was very attentive about meeting our needs and answering questions. A+
We love this farm house, it’s clean and cozy. Plenty of room for our party of 15. The kids enjoyed the pool. The host are very generous with supplies that you might need and they are easy to communicate with. Hoping to be back next year.
Family group of 10 adults and 3 kids under 3, ranging from 6 months to 88 years old stayed for a long weekend. The property is well maintained and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The property also provided yard games and family board games, though we did bring our own, too. Lots of pool toys also available. We had beautiful weather to enjoy the pool, fire pit, and yard games. We mostly stayed at the property and had fun together, so cant speak to the local area entertainment. If you are looking for a family retreat, this is a great place.
Had a wonderful stay at Macy Hill. Owners were friendly and communicative. House was great - large old farmhouse with lots of space. Pool got tons of use. Pet friendly (barn cat was also very popular). Great fire pit and lots of open space to explore. Lovely front porch for morning coffee (though busier road could be a bit noisy). Overall great stay!
This farmhouse is absolutely beautiful! It is perfect for a girls' getaway or a family trip. The owners were very responsive to all of our needs. We truly appreciated all of the special touches the owners provided, from the welcome bottle of wine and smores packs to the towels in the each bedroom. The pool was amazing, as were the sunset views from the firepit. The owners have managed to keep the old world charm of this house while still in the process of lovingly restoring it. We also truly enjoyed the barn cat, Flynn, who was incredibly sweet and would join us on the front porch! The drums, the pool table, and the guitars in the finished attic were so much fun. We highly recommend this place!
Three generations: 1 Grandmother or Mormor, 2 sons & wives, 1 daughter, 6 wonderful GRANDS!! It was during the horrid heat wave. We loved the pool & ate meals outside. Climbed the dunes twice.
This was our 4th get together & the pool was the biggest we'd ever had. We traveled from PA, VA, KY & MO; got there & home again safely!
Kurt was always available via text & he answered promptly. A/C worked well. Kitchen more than adequate. Beds were comfy. Hot water very sufficient. Great place for YOU!!!
Everyone absolutely fell in love with Kurt’s beautiful farmhouse. It was the absolute perfect home and property for our wedding weekend. They provide everything you could need! Everyone had a very comfortable place to sleep - It is RARE to find such a beautiful, large and well-stocked/-kept home with so many private rooms! The patio and yard are gorgeous. We had our rehearsal dinner in the yard and everyone had the best time! We are so thankful we found this gem in the amazing southwest Michigan area that is so dear to our hearts. It is a short drive to wineries and the rolling countryside is serene and so pretty. 10/10 would stay here again and again!!
We were in the region for my daughter's wedding at Hidden Vinyard Wedding Barn. Family and close friends were able to stay with us and it made the four nights feel like one long extended visit with people we don't get to see often.
The house was very well equipped with kitchen equipment and dishes and was comfortable inside and out with areas to gather and relax, play cards or swim (though it was getting a little cold!), and the fire pit was cozy too with the nice Adirondack chairs.
Coffee shops, grocery, and restaurants were all within 10-20 minutes, and the cows and cat made for good entertainment.
Communications with the hosts were efficient and friendly. The instructions in the house were written with a real sense of welcome inviting a true spirit of "our house is your house". The pickleball court would probably be a big plus for some guests, and is clearly expertly installed.
The outdoor space is well-cared for and was where we spent much of our time with beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the scenic landscape.
We felt like we won the VRBO lottery.
Thanks to Kurt and Cindy!
