Was very clean and nice place. Only complaint is no water pressure in shower. There are a lot of homeless people in area but never bothered us. Was nice we could park in garage.
The home was very conveniently located on the East side of downtown, right off 6th street next to multiple restaurants, bars and other attractions. It was easy to get to and close to the highway. It was clean and very nice, looked just like the pictures. A lot of people have commented about the homeless population around the property, this is definitely a thing, but my wife and I walked all around the area and they left us alone and we never felt unsafe. One thing I will say is if you have a large truck/SUV, you may find the garage a bit small. Overall, it was worth the money and would stay there again

The place itself is very nice. However, if you are uncomfortable at all with homeless people near you, then this is not the place for you. Many were camped in the parking lot directly behind the property with all window views of it. That being said, they did not bother us at all when we walked the alley to travel to other locations. It is a cute residential neighborhood. A few local places to go for food and coffee but not a ton of close options. Downtown is about a 15-20 minute walk.
Pros: The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had basic kitchen appliances and cooking items. Bathroom was nice and modern. Bedroom was adequate for a 2 night stay. Cons: Roku remote not working but we were able to download the Roku app. The biggest con is the fact that 10 feet from opening the garage door is a large homeless population hanging out in an empty parking lot. It looks like it was designated for homeless with benches, etc. But, there were many homeless hanging out, talking, etc. you could even hear them when inside. My husband I I did not feel comfortable coming and going from the property. We parked our vehicle inside the garage and I definitely would not want to park in the driveway. Not safe at all. Also, the next block also has homeless line pd up everywhere and hanging out. Possibly for services at a nearby by church.
Great location, close to downtown ATX/good food/coffee shops, quiet neighborhood, wifi to work, smart TV, kitchen appliances to cook, washer/dryer if needed etc.One thing to note is there are some homeless folks nearby, but no issues and they usually clear out at night. Property has multiple locks and feels secure. Clean one car garage if you have a vehicle. Place itself is pristine and relaxing, easy check-in and check-out. Would stay here again!

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear your stay was generally good, but we're sorry to hear the location didn’t meet your expectations. We understand that feeling safe and comfortable is essential, and we appreciate you sharing your concerns. Your input helps us better inform future guests and work with local teams to address these types of issues when possible.
Everything was as listed and I couldn’t have chosen a better property for my short stay. Location and cleanliness was on point and I can’t forget to mention how cozy the place was. I’ll be back in Austin soon and I hope this same condo is available.

Great experience
Absolutely perfect for 1-2 people. Clean, comfy, quiet and safe. I’ll never even search for another place to stay unless this is booked when I need it.
After a rough start, the stay was phenomenal! It’s quiet, convenient to all downtown and shops close by, and had everything we needed. It’s close to HEB as well. We would stay here again if we return for activities downtown.

I don't know where to begin. I wish I had known that this property was right beside a homeless encampment. When we first arrived, there were several "unhoused" people close to the property that made checking in after dark feel unsafe and weird. Furthermore, there were no clear instructions on which entrance to use when accessing the property. We accidentally went inside the front enterance because there were no instructions explaining otherwise, or how to access the back ally to actually enter the property. After we got inside the garage, we came back outside to find that there was a pile of burning garbage next to an electrical box near the property that had ignited in the time it took for us to walk upstairs to unload our bags. We proceeded to call 911 and watched as fire trucks came to put out the fire close to the homeless encampment. The pro to having so many unhoused people close by was that we were woken up by beautiful melodies of one of the unhoused people singing outside our window. From a cleanliness perspective, We found hair that was not ours in the shower, and the blanket on the bed couch smelled like body odor. We had to rewash several of the dishes before using them, because there was food on them from other guests. Overall, I'd recommend pursuing a different VRBO property.
