About the host

I love this location so much, I live a few doors away! After moving to Saint Louis about 5 years ago and originally settling in the Central West End, I missed being near water. When I found these condos, I couldn't pass up the opportunity!
It's important to me to be close to all of the activity of the city and places I need to be. But I'm also a writer and work at home. When I take my work out on my deck with the river nearby and hummingbirds coming up to say hello, I feel like I'm sitting in a park. It's heavenly. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
While I travel often when I'm not working at home, my adult son also lives nearby and is a wonderful help with anything I might need at the condos. After 10 years in the Army, he now works full time with the National Guard. He's a good guy and a wonderful help. :)

Why they chose this property
Like many people who move to Saint Louis from other parts of the country, I came asking, "where can I find a place to live on the waterfront?" There are very few! This is a lovely place because from the master bedroom, there is a nice river view year-round and from the living room, depending on the season, there is either a river view or peaceful lawn and trees with a little bit of river between the trees. The deck makes a very nice place to sit and read, take a zoom meeting, have dinner, or just relax and watch the birds. And it's fantastic to be right off the highway. That makes it soooo easy to get to anywhere in the metro area!
What makes this property unique
The view from the condo is urban elegance. The sunrises seen from up here on the river bluff can be absolutely amazing. Photos I've posted are 100% real, unfiltered, unaltered. We are very fortunate that the sliding glass doors on each floor face east, across the Mississippi, to the flat land of Illinois. Additionally, I absolutely love the view at night. Instead of looking at total darkness of the water and trees lining the Illinois side, the riverbank is dimly lit by strings of lights on conveyers that fill the barges and other small lights in the distance. The water shimmers, especially when the moon is full. Sitting on the deck, looking out at the water, is a wonderful place for meditation or just to relax at the end of the day.
