Kick back at Happy Jack’s. All the amenities of home except the busyness of life. Located by the beautiful White River known for its great trout fishing. Home is stocked w/ kitchen supplies, ice trays , linens, towels, blankets & 3 comfortable beds. Master bedroom has king size bed, and dresser. 2nd Bedroom has full size bed. Living room has big screen tv, couch, big chair, & 1 bunk bed set. 2 full bathrooms. 1 bathroom has big jacuzzi tub & shower. Free WiFi . Charcoal grill under carport and outdoor chairs.

The house is very nice newly updated can accommodate 6 people easily.Plenty of outdoors space to sit up lawn chairs to visit. The indoor/outdoor kitchen across the road is beautiful with amazing views. We look forward to renting aagain

Total Solar Eclipse 2024 on the White River at Calico Rock

Exceeded our expectations in every way. Met some charming new friends, had fantastic weather, a great place to watch the eclipse, and a very comfortable stay in the well maintained and clean cabin. Calico Rock is a cute little town with lots of history and very friendly people.

Perfect location. Nice clean property.

There was a recent snow/ice storm. Drive was slick and owner was in Texas. She still worked with us to gain access to property. Another day we locked ourselves out and she figured out a way to get us in. Very nice to work with and very nice place to stay!!

Ok if fishing or hunting.

Nice place no outside seating except across the road. Grass needed mowed. Not recommended for motorcycle access. A lot of owners belongings outside.

The house was beautiful!! It looks kinda small from the outside but when you walk in it’s perfect. The owners were actually in town too at they’re other house and they made the whole trip. We might have even spent more time at their house than ours. We will definitely be back!

Awesome place.

Great place to have a relaxing break. Entry was a breeze and host was quick to respond to questions. The spa tub was large and is absolutely amazing. Beds were very comfortable as was all the furniture. Bedrooms offered individual privacy. Place is beautifully decorated to appeal to different taste. Close enough to town eat out or can prepare food at site. Would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the river flowing by.

We are Greg and Liz Jack. We purchased this property in 2011 and fell in love with Calico Rock and enjoy fishing on the beautiful White River. We knew when we purchased this cabin that we wanted to make this a place others could come and relax and get away from the hectic pace of life. We have created many great memories at Happy Jack's and hope you do as well.

Why they chose this property

We continue to improve the property. We added a second bathroom last year and just added a front porch for guest to enjoy sitting under and grilling.
