Lovely house. Few quick feedback: 1. Driveway was used by the owner’s son so we had to park on a busy street. Eventually he left and we were able to use the driveway. 2. The house was a bit dusty and had a mold problem on the ceiling near the ceiling vent. 3. Interior design needs work. Like mismatched wall paper. 4. The clawfoot bathtub is as lovely but functionally it was uneven and you felt like the bathtub was rocking side to side. 5. I’ve used rental properties before but I don’t ever remember being required to wash the linens before we leave a house.
The house was beautiful. The surrounding neighborhood was perfect for walks with charming homes and gardens. Close to restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront.
Came to Beaufort to see my grandson graduate from Marine Corps Boot Camp on Parris Island South Carolina. Wanted to find a place in historic Beaufort very nice place quiet area within walking distance of downtown can see all the old homes. plenty of space . would stay again.
Home away from home; a cozy house with a cottage feeling
We felt right at home in this cozy house. We lived on the first floor which was enough space to relax in with living room/dining room, kitchen, half bath, and bedroom en suite. The house could comfortably have 7 guests, but we were only two so we could stretch out. Across the street is a grammar school and ex-
cept for recess, there was no noise. It's a great place to stay and convenient to shops and restaurants only minutes away.
Loved the location. Short walk to downtown. Lots to do close by. House is quaint. Upstairs bathroom is not very accommodating if you’re over 5’5” - claw foot tub with very short shower. The master is on the first floor with a queen bed and an on-suite. King room is upstairs shared bath with a queen and twin room. Nice 2nd floor living room area with tv. First time in Beaufort- might try to find another place next visit.
The house was gorgeous and in very good placement so that you have some privacy as well are close to early shops our only complaints are to some of the beds are showing age and the shutter of the too floor attached to the room that has the balcony access would not stay in place ooen or closed so on our last night it was very windy and it continuously slapped the side of the house very loudly. With an old home I'm sure it's not unusual but it did make for a difficult last night to sleep
Cute house in great location! Two of the beds were not very comfortable (one of us ended up sleeping on the couch.) We did not like that VRBO Site said 100% refund for cancellation before a certain day, but the "rental agreement" said 10% penalty. Humidifiers on each floor were very loud. Very nice dining room table/space. Great kitchen. Both porches were great. Nice eating area in the yard. Only couch in living room was comfortable. Other two chairs were not. Upstairs lounging room was nice to have.

Lovely property, good location.
The house was charming with two nice porches. The location was good, about .65 miles to the center of town, a cafe about two blocks away. There were a few things, if addressed, that would help make this property better. The downstairs queen bed and the single bed upstairs were not comfortable, the beds need to be replaced. The bathroom tub/shower upstairs was a challenge. You had to be careful climbing in and out, we managed but it could be a problem for folks with any balance or flexibility issues. The shower head was hung low and the water pressure was low. The plastic shower liner was too long and could be dangerous if you stepped on it or got a foot caught. Another issue was the parking. The listing stated there were two parking spots in the driveway next to the house. The property next door used the driveway. We had to park on the street. It wasn’t a big problem, as it wasn’t prime season, but it could have been if we had driven two cars, as we were there with another retired couple. We contacted the management company about it but the other renter never moved her vehicle. If this driveway was shared with the cottage next door, it should have been stated in the listing.

Cool property. Read the Tidewatch contract carefully!
Very unique house with lots of history. Nicely restored/looked after. Family room smaller but cozy. Well stocked kitchen. Beds comfortable. About a 10min lovely walk from downtown area. Great upstairs porch for lounging with a coffee.
Downsides are the age gives it a slightly awkward layout with Master on different level. Our daughter was a little spooked. Shower never warmed up. Dampness also required two very loud dehumidifiers to run constantly - you also have to empty them. Be careful with door handle on way out too- jammed our fingers a couple of times. Meant to be two parking spaces in driveway. It’s only big enough for one vehicle max. In any case, the house next door occupied it the whole time were there so we had to park in the street. Arrival instructions should reflect that. Made for some confusion.
Lastly- no fault of the property, but, unfortunately, our trip was interrupted by Trop Storm Debby. We only got one night. Tidewatch - who manages the property- hides behind the contract they make you sign. No compassion or customer service for that fact our vacation was ruined. Not even a token discount off a future stay. They just palm you off to VRBO to resolve. That was really disappointing. Read the Tidewatch contract very carefully. It will be rubbed in your face if there’s an issue- and it apparently supplants VRBO terms.
This adorable home was a great find for us. We were down in Beaufort for Labor Day weekend to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. It was perfect having a room for each one of us which consisted of my Mom, my Aunt, my sister, and me. My Mom and I went on a walk through downtown each morning and just soaked up the gorgeous water views, historical homes, and live oaks. The management company was quick to answer some questions that I had upon arrival and we really had pretty much everything that we needed. If it was a little cooler outside we would have taken advantage of the rocking chairs and the outdoor seating area so we may book again in the early spring. The owners did a beautiful job of preserving the historical integrity of the home while providing modern conveniences. We highly recommend!
