Real log cabin with a fire pit was a hit with the young (10 and 6) grandkids as well as the mountain setting. The cabin is well furnished.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfect for a family of four. It is in a secluded area providing so much relaxation and peace, but still close enough to the towns in the area.

We are so glad you enjoyed our mountain paradise. We had the pleasure of meeting you while we were there. You are a five star ⭐️ guest in all areas, when I sent your rating I failed to fill in the House Rules , sorry my error . I hope you will visit again. Thanks again for choosing our cabin for your vacation.
Centrally located to all state parks we wanted to visit (and a couple other waterfalls/areas we hadn’t planned on)
Owner, Debbie, was very helpful.
Cabin well furnished, will definitely book again when we venture back to the area.

We are so glad you enjoyed our mountain paradise. We look forward to your return!
One of the owners came to greet us shortly after we arrived. Both owners were friendly and very accommodating, explained and showed us how to work the heating and other details. The view was amazing. The bathtub upstairs was relaxing. Loved that there was a fireplace inside as well as a fire pit outside. We went hiking beside the cabin, and all our siteseeing destinations werent too far away. I absolutely loved leaving a note of our stay in the guestbook. Cant wait to come back again. Places like this are truly hard to find. You wont want to leave!
Our family had a fantastic stay in the heart of the mountains. The cabin was just as described…the only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer! We look forward to returning for another stay in the future.

The front porch was one of our favorite places, to sit in the rocking chairs and take in the view.

This cute cabin sits on a hillside in splendid near-isolation. Beautifully decorated and comfortable, just what we needed to get away from the heat for a few days. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby, along with hiking trails and a boating lake.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay that was pet friendly and this cabin was perfect. The view from the front porch was beautiful and seeing deer in the front yard was hard to beat. The owners Debbie and Don were great to work with. We will definitely be back next year.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie Williams
We have a family construction company in Florida and this property has been a vacation retreat for many years. We have recently decided to build cabins in the North Carolina area.
Why they chose this property
We visited the area in 1985 on a family vacation and absolutely fell in love with the area and decided to purchase mountain acreage and built a family vacation cabin. We later decided to develop the property to build future cabins. This is the first cabin that we have built on the property for public use in 2009.
What makes this property unique
The seclusion of this cabin is unmatched. Access to the cabin is via a private road that is shared by one other cabin. This location is also very close to nearby attractions: ski slopes, hiking, white water rafting, Grand Father Mountain, and shopping. This area is also home to many yearly events: Octoberfest and Roasting of the Pig at Sugar Mountain, the Highland games, the Wooly Worm Festival, etc.
