Storybook Chalet inside Yosemite National Park

The Cedar Chalet is located inside Yosemite National Park in a small private development called Yosemite West. When staying at the Chalet you do not need a separate entrance reservation to the park that are required for other park visitors. The home is centrally located to all of the Park's major attractions. Yosemite Valley is 20 minutes away - Glacier Point is 25-30 minutes - The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees is 35 minutes and Badger Pass Ski Resort (renowned for it's ski school for young skiers) is located 8 miles away. The home has all of the amenities you'd want in a vacation getaway - Satellite TV, Pool Table, a Sauna and an outdoor Spa that's perfect after a day of hiking!. The Chalet sleeps up to 10 people in 3 bedrooms, a loft with 2 queen size aero beds and a sofa bed. The beds all feature pillow top mattresses & down comforters for the perfect night's sleep. The chalet has traditional gas heating, as well as a wood stove. Treat yourself to the best location in the Park with all of the amenities you'd want for your ultimate Yosemite Vacation.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Wash used towels and place in the dryer. Start dryer. (You may skip towel washing if you are leaving early and text owner so that housekeeper can arrive early to do them)
Take all trash with you. There is no trash can at the property as it attracts bears. Dumpsters are available in the Bridal Veil Falls parking lot and behind Wawona Store if you are leaving via Hwy 41
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Take all trash with you at the end of your stay we do not have garbage pick up. Trash may be disposed at Bridal Veil Falls parking lot.

The house was beautiful, clean and very welcoming with the bonus of having extras like coffee, condiments, etc, which is so nice if you forgot to pack something. Jacuzzi was on and the sauna was lovely. Great way to start our vacation.

Such a beautiful place! 20 minutes away from the park’s destination, responds to messages really fast. Hot tub and sauna were so good after a long hike. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay Jan 1-4 as we kicked off the New Year and celebrated a birthday. The cabin is nestled in a quiet location and a short drive to the Yosemite Valley Tunnel View. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. I appreciated the ceiling fans and free standing fan as I get overheated while sleeping… even in winter. The fireplace was easy to operate and there was dry wood under the porch. Our teen boys stayed off their screens because of the pool table, yay. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfect and the kitchen appliances all worked great. We enjoyed the expansive windows and comfortable sofas. Highly recommend the Storybook Chalet!

Convenient access to main areas of Yosemite. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub after a day of hiking. Very peaceful area with lots of natural beauty.

Best place to stay for Yosemite

We had a great time here. Location is inside park so you don’t need to make peak time reservations for park entry Property has great view, plenty of room at living areas We had a lot of fun playing pools there. Rooms have everything you need and expect for vacation rental. Best part is communications with host. Eric was super helpful with all information we needed before, during and after our stay. We definitely will come back here for future trips!

Great Experience at Yosemite

The property is about 15 minutes away from the breathtaking tunnel view—best you’ll get for larger parties. Amenities were great, kitchen is upgraded and nice. Beds and showers were ok for evening and mornings preparing for and recovering from adventures in the park. Great place!

Great Yosemite getaway

If you aren’t staying in the valley this location is ideal. The chalet is cozy yet spacious equips with all that we could need. The hot tub was a real plus. We would definitely stay here again!
