Gorgeous cabin and river
Wow!! This place is such a treasure. My husband caught a bunch of fish from the Spring River. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The beds were perfect, not like most places we go camping. And the fire pit was the perfect touch. I highly recommend staying here.
Just what we expected when we arrived. Location was perfect to be close enough to things for convenience but far enough away for privacy and quiet. It is an adorable area in the evening with lights and fire pit. Will definitely stay again!

Birthday trip
Went with a group of friends and we all had a great time! Walking up the path and entering the cabin was quite the experience, and I don't think the pictures on the page do them justice to how nice it is. The days we went were very hot out but the cabin had a nice cooling system and kitchen, along with games there ready for us. I'm sure we'll come back sometime in the future and thanks for the wonderful stay.

Absolutely LOVE!!
What an amazing cabin!! Great environment!! Family oriented!! Has everything you need and more that you didn’t know you needed!! We will definitely book again!
We had a blast at the cabin! Being around nature and enjoying the fire pit each night was amazing. Sycamore creek is not far away and we enjoyed taking our kids down to the clear water creek and making a day out of it. Such a great vacation
Check in was easy. Property was nice with fishing access just a short walk through the property. Rustic and secluded. Would recommend. Great communication.
We chose this property because we’re a large family on a budget trying to attend a wedding in the area without staying at a casino. What a fantastic find! Our kids (ages 5-11) loved the cozy matching bedspreads, comfy couch, indoor & outdoor games, and the path down to the river. They also loved the novelty of bunking/eating/hanging out together in one large room. Mom loved the well stocked kitchen for cooking big meals and dining in all together. There was plenty of seating and table service for everyone. Dad appreciated that the beds were comfortable and that there were varied outdoor spaces - horseshoes, campfire, river porch, playground. The host was professional and courteous, easy to contact, and is offering a terrific experience along with a tidy cabin. We would not hesitate to come back again, and heartily recommend to others looking for quality family time at an affordable price point.
We enjoyed the cute set up for this cabin. If the bathroom door were fixed it would be a good place to stay. More details below:
Loved:
Lights at dusk
Fire pit
Games and books
Quilts and decor
Well stocked kitchen
Binder with useful info
Grill
Suggestions:
most important: replace or fix the door to the bathroom - if someone tries to use it they have to fight and struggle - and the noise wakes everyone up in this one room cabin
add some sort of towel racks and or shelving in the bathroom
allow the AC to continue to operate at some capacity during the day so that the cabin is not miserable for hours when returning
move the bees from the front porch to another location so that they are safe as are occupants
Add some kind of a convenience shelf to the twin bed systems
Add access to the river for fishing and/or kayaking
Unable to turn the valve on propane bottle in any direction
backup when 3/4 bath unavailable- maybe have a solar heated shower. I’ve seen that be a very popular addition!

Thank you for your recommendations. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
Originally built and owned by Tim and Carolyn Godfrey, Godfrey's Rustic Cabins has been a quiet hidden gem along the Spring River for several years. After Tim passed away in 2019, Carolyn operated the cabins until she found just the right people to keep up their legacy. We are honored to continue the cabins that Tim and Carolyn so lovingly built.
Why they chose this property
So much better than a hotel, house your entire family or your fishing group in one location. Need more space? This property has 3 other units on it, so you can expand if your group is larger.
What makes this property unique
Fish from the bank or launch your boat a few miles away and fish up and down Spring River. We have a full kitchen to handle a house full of guests. Large coffee pot for early morning fishing. Plenty of space to hang out when not fishing. Kids have a fun playground to spend hours on while Dad (or mom) is out fishing.
