This location was phenomenal! The river was melodic and so relaxing! The cabin is perfect, cozy and comfortable. Close to downtown but far enough away to feel like you're deep in nature :) Really easy access to the National Park!
We truly enjoyed our stay. Being right on the river was incredibly peaceful. The best part of our stay was sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars and listening to the river go by. The cabin was incredibly clean and well stocked. Just a few minor things the outlets are all a bit loose so things easily become unplugged and it gets pretty dang cold at night so I'd recommend using the provided space heaters even if you don't think you'll need them. Also the bathroom door doesn't fully close but it works well enough to provide privacy. These were all such small details though in the whole scheme of things. We will for sure return again.
Our cozy cabin was the best escape from our everyday lives. We explored the Rocky Mountains, ate great food and rested at night in the well maintained hot tub.
Cabin was what we expected. Terrific location to Estes and to RMNP. Staff was responsive and friendly. Communication very good all around. Only complaint was the shower water was either very hot or very cold - this was due to the water temp nobs not working correctly.
Wonderful cabin right near the entrance to RMNP. The management team does a great job taking care of its guests. The sounds of the river just steps from the cabin door and the peaceful surroundings made this a great spot our family enjoyed. Did I mention it’s minutes to the park?🙂.
10 out of 10 would stay again.

Perfect cabin on the Big Thompson River. Remotely quiet while being just a few minutes drive to restaurants/bars/shopping. Friendly and helpful staff! Got married on the side of a mountain off Switzerland Trail :)
Fun and cozy cabin, stocked with all the essentials for a great stay! We were well taken care of from booking through check out. The fire pit was a fun addition and nothing beats a hot tub soak after a day in RMNP. We had a great time and are definely planning a return trip in the summer. Great job River Spruce team!
We were privileged to see the transition from fall to winter with a beautiful snowfall. The cabin was cozy and perfect. RMNP was like being in a winter snow globe. It was the perfect time to visit if you want to experience a Christmas like setting without crowds.
This property was in a great location by the river. Things we enjoyed about our stay were the location, the jacuzzi, firepit, designated parking, and ease of checking in/management communication. This cabin is definitely older and could use some updates. It wasn't super intuitive trying to figure out some of it's quirks like heating/cooling, the TV, and hot water. The cabin is small but cozy and it was a nice place to end our day after exploring. For our first time in Estes park this place did the trick.
We had our daughters wedding in Beavercreek and came to Bear Den for a week of relaxation afterwardsZ it was exactly what we wanted and RMNP was amazing!! Great hikes and wonderful scenery and wildlife. Emily was a great help and very friendly. The river was so high and fast! No fishing but fun to watch. Thanks for a great time!
This cabin is not just a cabin- it’s an EXPERIENCE! We sat by the river and soaked up the sunshine. Cooked our steaks on a propane grill that was clean and ready for action. We sat by our own little bonfire and and looked at the amazing views. We also cuddled up next to the fireplace stove that was instant ambiance with the flip of a switch. Every detail was thought of. There were coffee pods waiting for us, spices, adorable mugs, the cutest decorations and everything felt like I was at HOME! N the early morning we sat in the hot tub and drank coffee and listened to the river. It was all fantastic. I don’t have enough words to tell you that I wish we could stay forever! They even have carts to load your luggage on to bring to your cabin and nightlights in all the best spots!
Hosts were excellent communicators and were able to answer my questions quickly. The location is picturesque and they amenity one could imagine is there: hot tub, full kitchen, extra blankets, board games, etc.Would book again.
