Everything was exactly as shown in the VRBO listing. It was clean and everything was in order with plenty of space for our family to enjoy it while we visited glacier national park. Columbia Falls is a cute little town. There are places to get coffee and breakfast and dinner not far from the house. The owners were very responsive when we asked any questions. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and the neighbors closest were very nice.

Perfect place!

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at the Avocado Abode! It is a perfect place to be able to travel very easily and rapidly to Glaciers National Park. We had 5 adults and one baby and had all the accommodations we needed for a comfortable stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights for Glacier National Park. Had a great stay. Everything was as described in the listing. The hosts are very thoughtful and everything we needed was in the home. The property was exactly as represented and pictured. Our family ranged in age from 2 to 75 and we were all very comfortable. We cooked a lot, the grocery was very convenient and the kitchen was well stocked with multiple pans, utensils, etc and plenty of dishes. Lovely back yard to enjoy in the summer, overall a delightful experience. My husband is all ready talking about "next year"!

Amazing Avacado Abode

This adorable house is perfect for families, especially those with children!! There are lots of games, books and yard activities. The location is amazing for traveling to all surrounding areas and/or outdoor activities, whether you want to hike trails or have fun at the lakes! The hosts are amazing and respond quickly! My kids will forever talk about the “Avacado house” and the core memories we made staying in it.

Darren & Leslie were wonderful hosts! The house was close to everything we needed and wanted to see, and it was clean a comfortable with anything we could need while staying there. We went into Whitefish for dinner, hiked Avalanche Lake (in a downpour), and grilled out back when we returned. They even had a boot warmer to dry our shoes before we headed home. We were visiting with Family and the kids loved having “their own level” in the basement. Could not recommend this home enough! Thank you for making such a wonderful place to stay and make great memories! *pictures of us cozy on the couch with fresh coffee after our rainy hike & all the guest made it to Avalanche Lake!

When you have questions or need something, your message comes straight to us! Darren has 3 generations of family that moved, worked, lived, loved the state of Montana. My great grandfather, Austin Hooper, owned a saw mill in Lincoln, MT in the 1920's and he was involved in local government. My mother and sister were born here. We visit Montana often and could not wait to make our purchase in Flathead Valley! Columbia Falls is the center of your adventure, quiet outside the doorstep, but within 2-30 minutes of everything you may want to see! The photo of Leslie and I was taken in Glacier National Park, 25 minutes from the driveway. I'm available via VRBO message throughout the day! I typically respond within 20 minutes! Our entire goal is that you have a wonderful experience, where you cannot wait to return, or tell a friend about the Avocado Abode in Columbia Falls, Montana! If you are fortunate enough to drive in from out of state, the drive to the house north of I-90 (St. Regis, MT) to the home feels like you're driving through a national forest that continues on and on! The Avocado Abode is a unique, and wonderful Montana experience! Leslie and I are proud to say we are Premier Hosts, and we are licensed and insured to host you, the CORRECT way. Many rentals are illegal in Montana.... The Avocado Abode is 100% legal to host! The neighbors are inviting, and are extremely kind. We've become friends! The house has old restored charm from1926 with the arched livingroom, and its freshly milled and cut custom wood working that you see on the front eves of the house and the shop which came from Eureka, Montana! The patio rock and even the crushed gravel are from local rock quarry's! The rock walkway took 1 month to complete!
Over 150k dollars was spent inside and out, making the home interior, exterior, all new wiring, paint, flooring, rock work, roof, and brand new master bath suite addition, a success! The house and shop share the same new windows, paint, trim, woodwork and custom rock base wall. We did not want to offer used outdated items in our premier listing. You'll find that nearly EVERYTHING in the home is new.
RV/travel trailer/snowmobile trailer 30' trailer + longbed truck, will fit on the gravel of the west side of the house! We offer a full kitchen, 3 types of coffee, cremes sugars, alternatives, as well as Avocado Abode, Montana made soap, just for you! New beds, new mattresses, plush pillows, new sheets, pillow covers and cases, HD smart TV's.... We wanted to make the house a popular attraction from its charm, its new furnishings, a secure place to store your trailer, mountain bikes, dirtbikes, side by side, fishing boat, PWC's, snowmobiles, and maybe even your hunting gear. We built a work shop bench so that if you're here and need a place to perform a fix or maintenance, that's an availability as well! We also have set the house up so that if you're travelling to get away from the busy city and want to soak up Montana vibes, you'll be perfectly happy in the house without leaving! Kids as well! What makes this property unique

Read our reviews! Kids and parents alike LOVE the "ABOCADO HOUSE" as kids say. The moment you enter the home, or drive down the driveway, you see the property is quirky funky fun. Its unique. We invite you to make it your own. Besides the colors, the raw woodworking, we love the thick walls, the 2x6 boards that were used for the floors underneath the wood flooring. The arched doorways. The large bookshelf that we've transformed into a "take a book, leave a book" library. And the master bath is wonderful!
Showing the orig. almost 100 year old charm. The house is set up in a way so that if you're travelling with kids, the downstairs den is a large bedroom and "hang out" it has a small reading relaxing nook area, and a bigger den area. We dont mention the den often, but one guest said it should be highlighted! Love reading down there! The house offers a bit of a "kids downstairs, adults upstairs" vibe. If you're travelling with all adults, the twin beds downstairs are ADULT mattresses, and the bright blue couch converts to a queen hide a bed. The den has a 43" 4K HD smart TV, all bedrooms and living room have HD smart TV's. The master bath suite offers a large jacuzzi jet tub for relaxing after a day of fun experiences. Enter the home in the summer, to an air conditioned upstairs! We are at 3,100 feet in elevation! The home has AC installed from May 1st to October 1st of every year. It has no need for AC the other half of the year. In the winter, the house will be nice and toasty thanks to a NEST thermostat! If you prefer a warmer house or a cooler house, you can message me before your arrival and I can remotely adjust for you. Up to 2 well behaved, and floor sleeping, dogs are allowed! You will receive an additional message from us, if booking with dogs. A simply acknowledgement, no contract! No dogs downstairs (we have a baby gate at the top of the stairs). No unattended doggies at the house please! We want you to have a blast with us!
