About this property

One level sun filled cottage with a modern kitchen, new furnishings and comfortable mattresses! Take a two minute stroll to "Pebble Beach" (small secret beach that is great for pets or kids in the mornings!) then come home and relax with a glass of wine on the adorable patio. Peaceful and quiet area with birds chirping and a nice side yard for kids/pets to play in! (pleases note not fened)The cottage has a newly installed white modern kitchen that is fully stocked. The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 with one bedroom having a queen bed and the second bedroom having a full-size bed with a pull-out twin trundle. (2 small adults could share the full bed) (Please note that when the trundle is pulled out, it will block that door).There is also a desk in the second bedroom, if some remote work or learning needs to be done! AC mini splits in each bedroom for those hot and humid nights!! Private compound in a wonderful area!! Close to downtown Newport for the lovely boutiques, world class dining and nightlife! Yet, still close to Second Beach which is the big swimming beach with boogie boarding, surfing, and a snack bar! If you have small kids, third beach is a quiet mellow beach that is ideal for families. We are bikeable to both of those beaches if so desired! Beach chairs and beach towels provided! Also, gas grill for outside dining. Laundry. Pets OK! Location is FANTASTIC!!

Middletown

We usually visit the Newport area once a year since 2000. The cottage, by far, is the nicest place we stayed at. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the neighborhood quiet and the location great. If we had any questions, Lisa answered quickly. Looking forward to coming back again.

Good stay

We had a nice time staying at the property despite the rainy fall weather. We appreciated the quick response when we contacted the owner about a small maintenance issue. Would stay here again!

Wonderful stay in Rhode Island

We had a very pleasant stay for a week. Very close to Newport , short drive to see all the attractions and then a quiet home to return to at night. Would stay again and recommend to others

Was a nice little cottage. Only upgrade could be to the bathroom towels which were pretty rough and thin, but that is a nitpick. Would stay again.

Perfect quiet ocean retreat

Lisa, we had the best time! We had everything we needed! So private, our little Chihuahua loved it too. The walk to Pebble Beach was just the right distance for us since we’re in our seventies. And perfect for our dog. Thank you so much for everything!

Wish we lived here!

This cottage was the perfect size for two of us! (it could have fit more).We spent very little time at the actual house but it was so comfortable and relaxing. We spent years staying closer to downtown newport and after this visit, i'll never go back! Bike ride distance to peabody and third beach, Beautiful houses and great pet friendly neighborhood! Every morning we walked to pebble beach and fished and read- really definition of slow living! Lisa was great and house was decorated nicely! If I could change anything it would be the bathroom but it is 100% beach cottage living with a kick! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing a slice of heaven -

Cute cottage!

This place was so cute and well maintained. It is down a beautiful tree lined road, off the beaten path. It’s nestled in a very pretty area similar to a cul de sac of lawn but still very private. The shower is a bit finicky, but it was a lovely peaceful place, highly recommend.

Beautiful despite the rain

Did the 2 minute walk to Pebble Beach every day when the rain subsided. Beautiful waves and geographical history of its creation. House was perfect for us and the dog!

Super Cozy, Immaculate Home!

Cannot say enough about our stay. The host is fantastic and so kind. Check in was so simple. We needed a home away for a number of weeks so I was hoping to be comfortable during a long stay. This rental was exactly as hoped, incredibly cozy, private and peaceful, beautifully decorated, and just immaculate. Would definitely stay again!!

The perfect little home in a quiet country

Everything was great. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. The home was very comfortable and clean. I will definitely try to stay here again. Grew up on the island and try to come back home as often as I can.

Little Hidden Gem

A great find for a weekend occasion...very clean and quiet with plenty of property for our dog to enjoy. Perfect for couple with 1 or 2 children but only one bath so be ready to share. Nice kitchen with 2 bedrooms and full laundry. Easy access with keypad and close to beaches as well as downtown Newport. Good rate but high cleaning fee with pet fee. Perf

Great location near the beach

House is in a quiet neighborhood with beach access one block away. Great for 2 people or small family. Small bathroom and den furniture is not conducive to lounging for long period of time. We were gone most of the day so it was not problem for us.

Highly recommend

We could not have been more pleased with this rental. The house was surprisingly roomy, sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the sweet patio under the shade of a giant maple tree. The neighborhood is scenic and quiet and excellent for walking a dog. We visited Pebble Beach (walking distance) every day to take in the pure natural beauty of the RI shoreline. Many activities are within a short driving distance - swimming, berry-picking, hiking, bird-watching, fishing, ice cream, seafood and of course, visiting Newport. The property owner was friendly and quick to respond to our questions. Just a great experience all around. Can’t wait to go back!

Restful oceanside home away from home!

What a lovely place. Easy drive to Newport if you want busy touristy things but such a quiet and relaxing neighborhood - I think we all enjoyed "staying home" just as much! We took our dog and paddleboard down to Pebble Beach and had a fun afternoon there - walk to end of driveway, turn right, walk till you hit the beach (maybe a 5-minute walk?)! We found everything we needed to cook, shower, do laundry (couldn't find a larger serving/stirring spoon in the kitchen but improvised with spatula). Beds were very comfy, TV worked fine. Love that rug in the living room, so soft!! Communication from host was just right - got all my questions answered and check-in instructions were sent in good time, never physically met with anyone on the premises but I felt confident I could get help if needed.
