The house was very nice and comfortable for our party of six adults. We couldn’t get enough of the water views from the property. It was a relaxing place to stay that was still close to good restaurants, and easy to visit Newport.
Three couples together for a relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Our stay couldn’t have been more pleasant, from the great communication from the host to the beautiful water views. House was extremely comfortable and well appointed for the 6 of us. Host welcomed us when we arrived and was available by text whenever we needed anything. Overall, great place to stay!

Thank you for your review. Your group was a pleasure to host and we hope you’ll consider staying with us in the future.
Maureen and Brad were consummate hosts. They respond to any requests and while they live next door they were very respectful of our privacy. The house is clean, well stocked and a superb location. We would definitely return. It is a beautiful spot at any time of day but the sunrises are particularly spectacular.
The Hosts were very nice , and very friendly, this was the best stay I ever had, I would give this a 10 star rating if I could. The views were amazing , the beds and all the furniture were top notch.

Warm regards,

Truly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views particularly in morning and evening. Very comfortable and close to everything Newport area has to offer. Owners live next door and were there to great us. Very nice and helpful.
More than enough room, more than enough activities for family of six, which was perfect since weather was not perfect. House was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to returning.

Thank you, Colin, for your great review. You and your family were lovely guests and we would love to host you, again. Glad that you were able to enjoy the kayaking and so many of the local attractions.
Great location, right on the water, and just a short drive to several beaches and Newport. Kids absolutely loved the game room in the garage. Hosts are incredibly responsive and right next door if you need anything.
This has been by far the best rental property yet I have stayed at by using vrbo. Communication between the host and myself couldn’t have been better with amazing views and a clean property. This will be 10/10 my go to spot for Portsmouth RI
We had a wonderful stay. The home was spacious and immaculate. It was right on the water and it was great being able to use the 2 provided kayaks. The house was in a great location, in a cute neighborhood, with easy access to Newport and other area destinations.

We were in the Newport area for a family wedding. This property was a perfect home base for our group. The home was very clean and had plenty of amenities. We did not have time for the water activities but enjoyed the view while sipping our morning coffee.
Thank you to Maureen and Brad for hosting their home to my family and I. The house was spacious and spotless, the amenities were wonderful, the yard was pristine and beautiful and the beach toys were lots of fun. Communication with the owners was easy, and they quickly responded anytime we reached out. We will come stay again!

Lovely home, Great location
We had a lovely weekend. Quiet area, lovely, well-kept home. Two and a half bath makes it a great stay for a larger family. Great restaurant up the street for a terrific breakfast. Close to both Newport and Providence, which I think has the best zoo for little kids that I have ever been too!
A great place for a family vacation and a lovely, responsive owner.
We book all different places for our girls getaway twice a year. This was the cleanest and most well equipped of all the places we have stayed over the years. Beautiful location with easy travel to restaurants and Newport. Maureen has thought of everything and her attention to detail is impeccable!

We didn't want to leave!
What a great spot in RI! The house is on a cove with a spacious deck and beautiful view. The majority of our stay was either spent in the kayak or on the deck. The house is spacious and has all of the comforts of home.

Thank you for the great review. One of the gratifying perks of renting is seeing a review that describes the good times had by a renter's family and friends.
Maureen and Brad have a lovely home overlooking a nice cove with kayaks and many things convenient to the house. Would definitely recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Maureen Cain/Brad Barco
I lived in this house until 2010. I am a retired registered nurse and teacher and enjoy boating, reading, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, and relaxing with family and friends.
Why they chose this property
I spent many a glorious summer day swimming and boating from the shore. As an adult, the drawing factor is the beauty of the water and the great diversity of water fowl and the fact that stress just melts away as soon as you arrive home. The sunrises, evening skies, twinkling light on the water from the Moon, and sea breezes are a plus, too! Even the impending change of the weather, easily seen across the water, is awesome.
What makes this property unique
This home is a stress reliever. The direct waterfront and panoramic views impart a cruise-like feeling. It is so easy to hop in a kayak and explore the shore line. Portsmouth, itself, is a laid back, non-congested town (usually) and still you have easy access to roads and highways leading to Newport, Bristol, Providence, Boston, Cape Cod, etc.
