Lake Haven wasn’t exactly what we expected. The home needs some updating, especially the pool area. Also, the water level was so low there was nothing but mud all around the home next to the lake. The pictures certainly did not portray this and it would have been nice to have been told this detail since we booked this home mostly due to being able to fish off of any side of the property. Instead, we could only fish from the dock. There was also no television in the master bedroom. We did like the hot tub.

Christy,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the hot tub during your stay.
For clarity for future guests, seasonal lake level changes are clearly noted in our listing. During the off-season, the lake is lowered, which can impact shoreline access; however, the dock remains available for fishing. We always encourage guests to read the listing details prior to booking to ensure the property is a good fit for their plans.
Our listing photos accurately represent the home and its current condition, and we strive to provide a transparent and detailed description so there are no surprises upon arrival.
We appreciate your comments and will continue working to provide a great experience for our guests.
The house and property were very welcoming. The property was clean and fuly stocked with all you might require. All that is needed is some updating and maintenance TLC.
This place was amazing. The pictures don't do it justice! Our entire group raved about how much they loved the property. There was so much space for everyone, with endless options of things to do. The pool was a big hit, and while we knew the lake would be lower this time of year, we were all talking about how great it would be to visit again when the water is higher so we could try out the paddleboards. Regardless. The views were 360 amazing, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the house appeared very well cared for. The host is accomodating, and check in was so easy. Highly recommended! Would stay again!

Thank you Madeline for the great review. We loved hosting you and hope that we see you back soon. Maybe this summer to try out those kayaks!
The location and condition of the property exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do the property justice. It was our best family vacation ever.
We spent a week here and had a terrific time. The pool is terrific.

huge house
Overall very good! Plenty of space and toys…great to have towels. Kitchen well stocked. The only negatives were minor. Ping pong needs 4 paddles and several more balls. We had one… Foosball needed a few more balls.
Had an amazing family reunion at this property! My four children and 9 grandchildren ages 6-18 stayed with plenty of space. We were busy with the many kayaks and paddle boards on this beautiful lake! So much space for the children to run and play outdoors!! Priscilla was very attentive. She always answered immediately!
The property was an amazing location to take my family. The amenities were plentiful and being right on the lake was perfect. There are plenty of activities within an hour drive if you want to buy aren’t needed as being on the lake provides all the relaxation you need. My family loved being able to all stay in the same house with enough room to spread out! Having a pool inside was perfect for the days where the weather may have been iffy or in the evenings after the sun went down. 100% would go again! If you are bringing your family get ready for a memory making adventure they will cherish!
Great location and amenities. Plenty of room for everyone. I would suggest to keep hard sided kayaks in better repair. Loved the boat/fishing pier, need to update the wooden swing. Everyone wants to come back next year.
Never heard a peep out of the guest the whole time they were at the house.
I went in to check the house a couple of hours after checkout. I walked in and the fireplace was left on and the pool pump was almost burned up because they splashed so much water out of the pool the pump couldn't suck water through the skimmer anymore. Guess never bothered to contact me about any issues with anything and apparently didn't care if the house burned down. I highly doubt they would have left their own house with the fireplace going.
Beautiful property! Our family had a wonderful time. The volleyball court the pool, the fire pit where all hits. We also enjoyed the kayaking and fishing on the lake. We only had a couple of questions during our stay and Priscilla answered them right away. No complaints whatsoever.
This was a perfect place for us, there were 13, we even lost each other in the house! lots of room both inside and out, close to lots of activities although you have plenty to do there. We will come back here for another family vacation.
The property is in an excellent location and the indoor pool was awesome but the home could use some updates in the bathrooms, floors were not really clean and the cookware was in very bad shape. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Matt, Thank you for your review. This is an older house and the bathrooms are a little dated but in great shape, but there are plenty of photos to know that before booking. Our housekeeper is usually on point , had I known there was a issue when you checked in instead of the night before leaving the week long stay I would have had this addressed right away. I will replace the pans that were scratched. Thanks again. Glad you guys enjoyed your stay.

Our stay in Hiawassee was great. This house was perfect to accommodate 6 families with kids from 8 - 18. Plenty for them to do including kayaking, paddleboarding, and beach volleyball. Lots of space for them to run and play football too. The rooms are large with 2 nice fireplaces. Priscilla was great at responding to any of our questions and needs. It is located within driving to hike waterfalls and white water rafting. Highly recommend for large groups!
