Direction wasn't the best. We couldn't work the fire place or tv. The cabin was to dark not enough lighting for ones who can see all that great. Heater switch was broke. The bed was great couldn't run fan and not light at night because the chain was not there. Cabin inside was very clean porches could use a little attention. Enjoyed it being secluded. Beautiful area.
great.Limited cooking items. Heater swich was
The cabin was a beautiful spot, inside and out.. the only complaint we have was that on bed sheet and pillows had hair everywhere, looked like it was pet hair.
It was a good clean place, a little rugged to get to due to road conditions but had everything needed to stay.

Was ok cabin
Gas was nit working so no heat. 42 °when we arrived. Tried getting heater and fire place to work, no gas going to them. Checked tank valve was on. Used space heaters. No signal so couldn't email or phone. Cabin was not very clean and in need of repairs. New to this app and cannot reach property owners.
The website indicated that it was just a little over 19 miles to Cullowhee when it is actually 32. It took us almost an hour to drive to the rest of the family we were meeting. The gas logs did not work, and we could not get the kerosene heater below 70 degrees. There is no way to have the ceiling fan on without having the light on in at least one of the bedrooms. Then to ask us to wash the towels after paying a $150 host fee is a bit much in my opinion. Will not recommend.
We had a great stay in this comfortable cabin. I loved the homey feel and the master tempurpedic bed. As expected, wifi came and went. We played games, talked, and enjoyed local pizza.

A few things was broken couldn’t get any wi-if took three hours for a 90 minute movie. The Wi-Fi never came up contact with it. Password wasn’t correct
great place but be prepared for bad cell phone reception and barely if any wi fi - we gave up played board games and watched some of the dvds in the cabin . also 4 wheel drive if any weather expected, the unpaved roads to the cabin are steep with sharp turns and drop offs.
Great communication with the property manager. Nice comfy cabin. 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Definitely off the beaten path. Loved my stay. Will definitely stay there again. If the availability works with my schedule I can see this being my regular mountain getaway. Loved it.
The house is lovely and very well equipped. It's nice to be up in the mountains (do note, it's at 4300' elevation). Getting to the house can be very tricky, especially since there is no cell phone coverage (OK at the house if you have wifi calling, but internet is incredibly slow). Luckily, our car GPS never missed a turn and correctly identified the location. We did not completely note just how remote it was, and did not allow that going out to dinner was not going to be easily done, since it would involve driving back in the dark. One run down to a convenience store provided some frozen pizzas. We had clear instructions on how to find the key, but no information as to which of the four locks it worked. Trial and error let us get in on the fourth try.

Centrally located
The cabin is centrally located, not far from Maggie Valley, Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The pictures made it look like there was more room around the cabin. We were grateful that we could bring our dogs, but more room in the yard surrounding the cabin would have helped.
The owner needs to make renters aware that it is a long, winding, single lane gravel road to get to the property that is at an elevation of over 4300ft. The turn into the driveway was very sharp and steep. A four wheel drive would be best. The cabin was clean and decently appointed.

About the host
Hosted by Justin Fowler
I'm a native Texan that loves the outdoors. In 2021, I let my lease expire, hopped in my car, and drove all the way to Asheville, NC so I could be close to the Great Smoky Mountains. While I still reside in Austin, my love of the mountains keeps me coming back to North Carolina and the beautiful Blue Ridge.
Why they chose this property
While staying in Asheville, I found myself driving through this town called Maggie Valley every time I wanted to get to a trail. Wanting to be even closer to the best spots, I bought this cabin in 2021 and found even more to do in the Maggie Valley area.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is quiet and secluded while also being near a lot of great stuff. Whether you want to drive along the Blue Ridge parkway, do some skiing, check out some breweries, gamble, hike, fish, kayak, tube, and more, you can drive to it from the cabin.
