The area boasts many outdoor pursuits like hiking, skiing at Cataloochee, horseback riding, white water rafting, motorcycling on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoying the fall color change. You can also attend one of the local music festivals, dine out in one of the many local restaurants, or sample some of the local craft brews. We are conveniently located about 30 minutes from Asheville and all of its attractions but also 30 minutes from the Cherokee/Oconaluftee entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The downstairs contains the kitchen, dining area, one bathroom and the queen bedroom. The dining room, which has a heated floor and is also a rustic sun room, seats 6. There is also a bistro table that seats another 2. The kitchen has everything you need to make a lovely meal for you and your guests. It has been stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and serving dishes as well as the usual plates and utensils. In the pantry, you will find basic spices, oil, coffee, and tea. We simply ask that if you use something up, please replace it. There is also a crock pot, waffle iron, Keurig/drip coffee maker, and a coffee grinder. Feel free to fire up the outdoor gas grill and throw on a steak or some burgers. The full-size washer and dryer are conveniently located just off the kitchen along with an iron and ironing board.
Looking for a spot to relax? Look no further than a cozy spot in front of the large stone gas fireplace. Grab a book to read, put your feet up, and enjoy. You can also have a game of shuffleboard or head out to the back deck and hop in the 4 person hot tub, roast marshmallows around the gas fireplace, or simply sit and relax to the sound of our babbling brook.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen size foam bed as well as a smart tv. The bathroom has a double sink and a large shower with a sliding glass door.
Travel upstairs to the loft and enjoy the large leather sectional couch and watch a movie on the 80 inch smart tv. YoutubeTV is available but feel free to use your own streaming service (same goes for any other TV). Prefer something more stimulating? Try the electronic Infinity gaming table (which has electronic versions of classic board games) or grab one of the regular board games or puzzles. Just next to the gaming area is a nook with a pull-out, full-size couch. If you are traveling with an infant or young toddler, feel free to use our pack-n-play and leave yours at home. Also located upstairs is the large master bedroom and bathroom which has a king foam bed, smart tv, and a twin day bed with a trundle.

Staying at this house made our trip even more enjoyable and also relaxing. The house is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Also very private from the road. Everything we needed was readily available. Hope to be back again!
Great location! Loved the house! It was very clean, well equipped and whoever decorated, I must say, pays attention to detail and has great taste! Everything you may possibly need is supplied. We will be back! Thanks Anne!
The owners did amazing job with this rental. We were close to the ski resort which was very convenient. The house was quiet and cozy after a long day on the slopes. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and we will definitely book again!
Great property in the Western Carolina mountains. Anne was very responsive when we wanted to add another day and contacted us very quickly. Highly recommend it and would visit again.
I took my daughter & a few friends skiing at Cataloochee. This was the perfect house & close to town and ski resort. We absolutely loved our stay. It was such a cute house, very spacious, very clean and we loved the hot-tub after skiing. We want to stay here again!
Loved this place! Owner was so nice and helpful! The house is very close to town and skiing/tubing, and perfectly clean, appointed and decorated! Will definitely stay here again when visiting Maggie Valley!
We brought our adult kids- 5 of us were extremely comfortable with our 2 dogs. The home had everything we needed to celebrate chopping our Christmas tree nearby.
Comfortable stay at a clean and well appointed house
Property is right on creek which kids loved. Hot tub and back deck are new and well maintained which the adults loved. Plenty of linens (which is so unusual and appreciated) and basic necessities. Great stay!
We really enjoyed our 24 hour stay and hope to return! the house is right near the ski/tube resort and several restaurants. It’s very well maintained and all the kitchen items you made need if wanting to cook and eat at home. The host was quick to respond to messages in the app and very friendly. Thank you for the hospitality!
There are too many things to list about how very much I enjoyed this home. Here are some:
-fully stocked kitchen with essentials plan, basics are there, replace if you take the last of something. More pots/pans/utensils you will ever need.
-nature walks in the neighborhood with a new foal and mama mare just down the road. We watched the foal grow more confident on her legs each day we walked or drove by.
-comfortable beds, many pillows, fuzzy throw blankets, all the cozy things.
-amazing outdoor spaces. I originally did not think I would like the rocking chairs but spent so much time rocking away listening to the birds.
-very responsive/reasonable owner. Upon our arrival we found damage to a stair rail. We called her immediately, and she picked up. She allowed my husband to fix the problem (he always brings his tools) rather than have to wait around for people to come in.
-I would highly recommend. I would stay again. I would love to have a cabin/home just like this someday!
