The house was lovely, clean, well apportioned and everything we hoped it would be. It was a wonderful launching point for numerous day trips in the area.
This house is super cute with all the retro appliances in the kitchen and the original tile. But it also has all of the modern amenities you need. It's super clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
Cute place!! In a very convenient location. Only complaint is only 1 TV located in the basement. We had our mother with us that is not able to go up and down the stairs well. It’s on a busy street. That kinda kept us up at night (hearing the traffic) maybe TV in bedrooms would help this issue.
The house was just adorable, spotless, and super cozy! The location was perfect and the sights were beautiful!! We will definitely tey to book again next uear.
Was wonderful to relax in this 50’s themed home! Enjoyed having coffee in morning on the covered deck in back. The decorations were amazing and yet very practical. Would gladly stay again!
We had a comfy, relaxing stay at this cute home! Perfect size for everyone with enough space to all hang out together! We enjoyed our weekend here and will definitely be back :)
Nice place
Good location
Main Street is a bit noisy but it calms down at night. Trees need to be trimmed back off of the driveway. Would stay there again.
Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the location. The home was clean and comfortable for our group of four. The fenced backyard and covered deck with grill were appreciated.
I am originally from Custer South Dakota, born and raised. My husband and I now live in Rapid City with our two sons. We love to get outside and fish, bike, swim, snowboard, hunt for rocks, and take in all the beauty of the Black Hills! I enjoy hosting because it gives families the opportunity to travel together and stay together creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come!
Why they chose this property
I didn't really choose this neighborhood perse; I believe that the neighborhood chose me! When I found this house, I fell in love with it immediately and it was only by chance and destiny that I was able to buy it. I have loved this home from the minute I stepped foot inside for the first time.
What makes this property unique
This property had one owner. The original owners were Italian tile layers and built this home in the 1950s. All of the tile throughout the home is original and immaculate. The parquet flooring is all original as well and adds so much warmth and charm to the home. In the kitchen you will find a small writing desk, a bread drawer, built in towel hangers, and so many more unique and quintessential 1950s finds. The original owner was a fantastic gardener, and the remnants of that garden are still in the backyard. We are working towards refurbishing and bringing the garden back to life. There are also beautiful rose bushes and an enormous rhubarb plant in the backyard as well! It is a home filled with so much positive energy, and it feels as though you are hanging out at your grandmother's home waiting for the cookies to come out of the oven!
