About this property

Beautiful Walloon Lake Cottage w/ Beach, Dock, FirePit

We have a quaint small cottage. Large yard for use! Nature road and trails. Feel free to set up your Volley Ball or Badminton nets, enjoy our soft sand beach with a bonfire, or dock your boat for the week and tour our beautiful Walloon Lake. If you have no boat, no worries....We also have a pontoon we rent if interested. My sweet husband moved here in 1975 and can be hired to captain our 24ft 10 passenger pontoon for a very entertaining lake tour or day trip to the sand bar when available! 231-838-5998. We have a very friendly 5 year old Alaskan Malamute named Bauer, who will likely greet you upon arrival so you can still get your fur-baby fix! He is a big 145lb baby who loves to give kisses.

Perfect Place on Walloon!

We had an amazing stay at this location. The owners are very kind and attentive. Close to Petoskey and Boyne, there was plenty to do exploring the area. We had our bass boat with us and had excellent fishing including small mouth and walleye. The lake has two great sand bars located minutes from the cottage, and the fire pit with wonderful lake views was very relaxing. We highly recommend this cottage for your next stay.

Great week on Walloon! Great cabin. Kitchen was functional for everything we needed. Well outfitted with cooking ware and glasses/plates. We were there on one of the hottest days of the summer, it was warm downstairs but we were on the go so it didn't matter. The portable AC unit upstairs kept up fine. Great secluded quiet spot. The Watermans are great hosts.

Perfect stay on Walloon!

Linda and Matthew were the most welcoming, gracious, and attentive hosts! Their property is gorgeous - very private, clean, and right on the lake. They were extremely responsive and attended to any questions right away. Their boat/rental process was easy and seamless - we were able to extend for a an extra day no problem. If you are looking for a week/weekend getaway with your family/partner, this is the perfect match. My parents and I really enjoyed chatting with the Waterman's, and appreciate the small touches they provided. Will definitely be returning!

Just right

Our hosts were very hospitable and helpful. The place is quaint and nice. You could rent their boat also. The lake is nice. Their is no central air. Their is a floor AC unit and lots of fans. Love the place. We would go back again.
