This cottage has a gorgeous view of Lake Mi and a large deck with a rocker bench and chairs to enjoy it.The setting is peaceful and you can hear the laps of waves as well as birds and squirrels. Location is central to lots of site seeing and activities, beaches, and local eateries. Comfy and all necessities provided.
Wonderful, lake view over the bluff, two story house. Well furnished and everything I needed within reach. Loved the steps down to the cottage and appreciated the lack of WiFi. It was a really isolated and relaxing experience, just what the doctor ordered. Thank you Joan for sharing this little piece of “wonderful” with us!
Beautiful spot close to town. View from deck was wonderful. Home was equipped with everything that was needed for a week stay. Would definitely stay again.
It was a sun filled house that had a nice view of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed hearing the water and also the closeness to many wonderful towns and things to do. Thanks for letting us stay!
Beautiful place with great views of the lake from deck, living room, kitchen and upstairs bedroom. Nicely updated and decorated. Enjoyed our stay very much!!!
There are a lot of stairs to the house but we did know that ahead of time.
This cottage is so beautiful! Three bedrooms, lovely hardwood floors, and a large bathroom. The deck is the most peaceful place to view stars or just watch the waves. Hearing the water day and night is healing. The host is responsive, kind, and thorough in her guidance. We loved our college roommate reunion and hope to come back next summer!!!
Our family of five and my parents stayed at this sweet little cottage for four nights. Location is prime. We had beautiful lake views and it wasn’t a big deal that we didn’t have direct lake access from the cottage as there are many access points in beautiful Harbor Springs nearby. Everything about the cottage is cozy and welcoming. There is one bedroom on the main level and two good size bedrooms upstairs. Because the living room and kitchen are connected, we all fit in the common space easily. We loved sitting outside on the deck as well. The listing had Wi-Fi listed as an amenity, but there is no Wi-Fi at the cottage. The owner acknowledged this and said she would revise the listing. Communication with the owner was seamless.
The house is wonderful, there are a lot of steps to get down my only concern was it was raining when we arrived making the steps very slippery and dangerous adding some anti slip tape on them would solve that problem. There were chairs out on the porch but would have been nice if a table was out there for eating. You can get down to the beach thru the woods but it’s not an easy walk, we used the gravel drive on the right of the house and quickly found out we were not allowed. We didn’t know that it was an issue. But we did very carefully make it to the beach and it is amazing. Wonderful house in a great location. I would recommend staying at this house.

There is no access from the property to the beach as in the listing and in the manual in the cottage. Guests should not walk through other peoples property. There are beautiful beaches: Thorne Switft Nature Preserve is 4 minutes, Harbor Springs Public Beach is 5 minutes, and Petoskey State Park Beach is 14 minutes. All these beaches have changing rooms and other wonderful amenities.
We were a family with kids and enjoyed our stay. One of our kiddos broke her leg before the vacation so the stairs were challenging to navigate. But for a healthy person it won’t be an issue. 53 steps but it is ok, tje view is incredible. Tjere is a store 4 min away. Tumnel of treess, moddle viööage beackj snd stirgeon bsy beach were tje best

Great Beach Getaway Close to Beautiful Harbor Springs
Our Fourth of July weekend at this wonderful cottage couldn't have been better. The cottage itself provides the perfect amount of space - a great living / dining area, and a huge front porch with unobstructed views of the harbor and Lake Michigan. The location is amazing, which we did not know before renting the cottage. Located in the "tunnel of trees," the cottage sits off of a beautiful road that twists along the lake front, with beautiful homes and countryside. Even better - although secluded from sight in its own patch of trees - the cottage is a short drive or long walk from Harbor Springs, one of the most idyllic small towns I've ever seen. We watched the Fourth of July parade, and it felt like we stepped back to a better time. Finally - and perhaps best - was the beach - a short walk through the woods in front of the cottage leads you to a private beach. I highly recommend this cottage!

Thank you. We agree and enjoy our stays at the cottage. The closest beach is nearby at Thorne Swift Nature Preserve with a boardwalk through the forest to the public beach.
The home was beautiful. Easy location and convenient. Steps were tiring but expected from the description, but was worth it. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
Had a relaxing time, enjoyed listening to the waves lap the beach as we fell asleep, watched the view of Lake Michigan as boats, ducks, birds, and Bald Eagles flew by. The property was clean. We want to return again.
We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of this property. The deck is wonderful and view of the bay is gorgeous. The sound of the waves at night were so soothing. House was clean and inviting. The stairs down to and up from the cottage are challenging but we loved that it provided the seclusion and we got in our steps exercises! Would love to have internet/WiFi added to the property. Enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back!

The cottage was built in 1998. We enjoy the cottage and views/sounds of the lake with family. The oversized deck is enjoyed by all. Even the teens look forward to staying and don't want to leave.
Why they chose this property
We love the secluded relaxing cottage and spend time going to nearby beaches or playing games. Our favorite is listening to the lake and watching the wildlife. The cottage is so bright and roomy.
What makes this property unique
A benefit is the two oversized decks and lots of windows for light and views.
