Occasionally you may hear a train in the night. Enjoy a day relaxing watching movies, entertaining in the large screened in porch, or grill a meal outside and enjoy the patio furniture and fire ring. Periodically, hear and see the local pilots practicing maneuvers in their small planes overhead. Top off the day with a fire in the fire ring and relax knowing a quiet night’s sleep awaits you. Larry and Carol Prescott are life long residents of North Iowa. Larry is a retired farmer and Carol is a retired office manager. Larry is a home body and Carol likes to travel. We both love to spend time with friends and family in Clear Lake. We enjoy boating, bike riding, walking, eating out and listening to live music. We have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. We are blessed! Our life is full!

Why they chose this property

We bought this property as a getaway from farm life, especially in the Winter, and extra space for family gatherings. We love being on the farm North of Ventura in the Spring, Summer, and Fall so decided to “share” our Lakehouse Happy Place with others. We love the quiet kid friendly neighborhood, the short walk to park with our dog Khloe, the convenience of being so close to what’s going on in Clear Lake. Someday it may make sense to move off the farm and we will have a house we love in town.

What makes this property unique

We love the architectural design of the windows in the living room which lets in lots of light year round. The windows match others homes in the North Shore and Shorewood Hills area too which is a nice community connection. We love, love, love the large screened in porch! It’s such a nice relaxing space to gather and enjoy fresh area without being bothered by bugs. It’s nice for kids and pets to have a large area to frolic and play.
