Great location, safe neighborhood. No frills and small but exactly what I needed!
Britta water filter and coffee maker but no cups that I could find. Air conditioning is definitely a plus in NOLA. Loved my 2 night stay!
This is a small, quiet detached studio in a wonderful, leafy area of town, walking distance - 4 blocks or so - to the Freret St. restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The other direction is close to St. Charles and the trolley cars.
The accommodations are stripped down, with a bunk bed, dresser, bathroom without sink, kitchen area with the sink and microwave. Everything was in working order except wifi was intermittent, however Perrine was very responsive and friendly.
Property as described. Fairly clean. In a quiet area. The bed has a missing rung on the ladder. There is a screen missing from the window. The only real problem is that it was extremely hot, even when it was chilly and raining outside. The air conditioner and fans didn't do anything at all to cool it off. We tried to reach out, but didn't hear anything back until the day after we left.
Room was not cleaned when we arrived, 2 HOURS AFTER check in
3 large fans blocking the dresser, and you couldn’t put them somewhere else. Which meant you moved them every single time you opened a drawer, and then moved them back.
Toilet issues. Ran the entire time. And half the time to flush, you had to remove the tank lid and put your hand in to pull the chain and flush manually because the stopper was stuck. A simple cheap fix, but just seems like they don’t care.
Dish soap was filled with water. They just added water to the bottom of the container. So we used “water soap" to clean dishes.
Only 2 lights on the light strip worked, which made it extremely dim there. Used our phone lights to find things in our bags, and had to open all the blinds to have enough light to get ourselves ready in daylight.
Coffee maker, but no coffee?
The WI-FI listed is not correct. I messaged and he gave me a different one. But the connection was so weak, we couldn’t use it. It was better to turn the wifi off and use our cell service.
Due to wifi not working, the tv was unusable.
Little outside area looked trashy. Whether it’s included or not, it should have been more cleaned up around the area.
Paying about $400 a night, I expect better. If you exponentially raise rates and price gauge because an event is in town, then your rental should be in the best shape possible. I can get a 5 star hotel in Vegas for less than I paid for this room that wasn’t cleaned or serviced properly

DISHONEST HOSTS... DO NOT STAY HERE
I initially planned to travel with my brother but then I noticed they charged us a huge fee because there were 2 of us? :(
We couldn't afford for both of us to go, so my brother decided to stay home.
I messaged the owner about it, but they ghosted me after telling me it was too late.(Too late to reimburse me for a service I did not utilize??)
Then I looked on their page and it states the extra guest fee is only supposed to be a fourth of what they charged me!
So I got scammed then ghosted.
Plus the AC is just for show, it blew room temp air the entire stay and I had it at 68, then 65, then 62. There were also no cups in the room.
Great Little Nook in the Heart of The Garden District!
For the money, you totally cannot beat the value. The property was clean, easy to get to from the Street Car Line and had all of the comforts you need. Snug location, but to have your own space in New Orleans, especially towards peak travel time, was unequivocally worth it. I would book again. Space was clean, owner/manager was receptive and responsive, I felt like I was in a safe area and we had an outdoor area. Better than a hotel in my opinion.
