A very neat and impressive cabin, from inside and out..we had no problems to speak of. A beautiful stay, we will definitely be scheduling another visit..
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. We had easy access to Little Switzerland and Burnsville to visit family. Host was super helpful and responsive.
Beautiful place! Clean, quiet and cozy. Would have loved to spend a few more days there to enjoy it. Kitchen was well equipped (probably just needs a toaster) and the hosts are very responsive. Would definitely stay again!
The proximity to art shopping in Asheville, Spruce Pine, Bakersville, etc., was perfect and provided a wonderful “home away from home” feeling! Peaceful and quiet. Neat and clean!
This cabin is VERY nice. Nicer than pictures. It’s super comfortable, nicely furnished, quiet and pretty peaceful (couple of times there was someone with a dirt bike down the road making some noise but not a huge deal). The owners have the kitchen super well stocked, the firepit is great with lots of wood and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the mountain air. Water pressure and showers are excellent and beds are comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
A hidden gem right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. A vintage charm eith modern amenities. Everything was clean and stocked with all the appliances we would need on vacation. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! Our best Vrbo experience to date actually. The house was beautiful, super clean and perfect for our family! Location was great too. Great attention to detail and they had all the basics covered for us. Communication was excellent with the owners and they checked on us throughout our stay! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
This place was perfect for us, just a few miles from my cousins place tucked back in the woods but very close to town and the Parkway. Beds were firm but comfy.Kitchen was very nicely appointed with dinnerware, cookware, etc.. We’ll definitely stay here again next year.
This was a lovely cabin in a peaceful quiet setting. The hosts kept in excellent contact for any questions. The kitchen was fantastically equipped with all the utensils, pots/pans and even spices for us to take most meals in. The bbq utensils were all provided as well.
The rooms were clean and also well equipped with towels and laundry.
We would definitely stay here again!
This cabin and location was perfect for our brief visit. The cabin appears to be brand new and all aspects of this stay were outstanding. After a long day of hiking, we decided to cook at home. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was easy to locate. The entire cabin was spotless and there were very easy and clear checkout instructions. While this was a very brief trip(less than 24 hours) I would not hesitate to revisit for future stays.
We had a great short stay at this cozy and spotless hideaway. The cabin was comfortable and close to all desired activities. The teen in the group loved the gem mining at Emerald Village. The hiker drove us to Wiseman’s View, and we all enjoyed Grandfather Mountain. Evenings were quiet and relaxing. We would not hesitate to visit again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot!

About the host

We're a family of 4 with two small children. We love to get outside and explore all our state of NC has to offer. We love the NC coast, but we especially love Western North Carolina and enjoying all of the Hiking, restaurants, and creativity it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
Almost every weekend in the Fall and Spring, our family takes a hike through the woods. It's not always a long hike with having young kids, but it gives us a moment to reset, and lets our kids explore. From this, we decided to find a house in the mountains to give us more time to enjoy the views and have a place to bring the extended family.
The views of the mountains while driving up, the proximity to hiking and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the quiet that surrounds the house, made us fall in love instantly.
What makes this property unique
You will be amazed just how quiet it can be sitting in the back of the house. Hearing a mountain stream in the background, it's a great place to reset from the normal day to day.
