Our home has 3 bedrooms each with king beds and a queen sofa sleeper with upgraded foam mattress in the lower level man cave.

Need to get away from the city hustle, lights and noise? Sit back and relax on one of our two decks and enjoy the expanding Piedmont Valley View, listen to the birds and watch the clouds create stories in the skies. On a clear day you can see the buildings of downtown Winston-Salem on the horizon just past Pilot Mountain. At night, just look up to gaze the Milky Way. Hart’s Desire is nestled just off the Blue Ridge Parkway centrally located between Galax, VA, Hillsville, VA and Mount Airy, NC (Mayberry) – 30 minutes each way.

Our home comfortably accommodates 6 people, sleeps 8 and has a baby crib.

Upper level has three bedrooms. Master bedroom with view, split king adjustable bed with tempur-pedic mattresses, TV and master bathroom with walk in shower. Two additional bedrooms, one with view, both have pillow-top king beds and TV’s. Main bath has tub/shower combination. Main kitchen/living/dining area with smart TV and gas fireplace. Wood/tile floors, fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, microwave, gas stove), Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, toaster, washer and dryer. Step out onto the upper deck, which is partially covered, and enjoy the Piedmont Valley View, has a gas grill and Poly Wood seating/cushions for six.

Lower level includes leather Sofa Sleeper with upgraded foam mattress, full bath/walk-in shower, bar and TV. Step out on the lower deck where you can enjoy the view from our 6-person hot tub.

Additional Amenities include white high quality sheets, white duvets, white towels, hair dryers, wireless internet, DVD players, books and games. We do not have cable or satellite TV. Antenna TV’s get 30+ local channels. You can stream from your phone to the smart TV in main living area. We have security cameras at all entrances. We also have a full house automatic Generac generator in case the electric goes out.

If you want to venture out, nearby activities include: biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing and golf. Explore local farmer markets, antique stores and eclectic shopping. Cultural activities and events include: Blue Ridge Music Center, Crooked Road Music Trail, Blackmon Amphitheatre, Andy Griffith Playhouse, Old Fiddlers Convention, Second Saturdays Concert & Classic Car Cruise In, Mayberry Days and Autumn Leaves Festival. Chateau Morisette, Villa Appalaccia Winery, Roaring River Winery, Shelton Vineyards and Jolo Vineyards are just a few of the many wineries within an hours drive.

The pictures of this property don't do it justice. Such an amazing view must been seen in person and the constant breeze off the gully makes for a very comfortable temperature.

A Home Away From Home

The Harts really went the extra mile with making our stay comfortable and extra specials. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We travel as a family to at least two destinations a year and this is one we will always remember and plan on coming back. Family Legacy Weekend

We wanted a weekend away with our adult children and spouses (no grands). This was the perfect getaway. The host was wonderful, property was great, home was as described! We lost power Friday afternoon through Saturday morning (10ish) but no problem as the house has a whole house generator! We had a wonderful weekend!

Fabulous Mountain Getaway

This is an impressive house in a spectacular setting right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sitting on the deck, you feel as if you're up in an airplane looking down on the valley below. The house is spacious, the furniture is high quality, the amenities are first-class. If you're looking for a place to unwind away from it all, this is an ideal retreat. The owner Denise was friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

it was awesome!!!! The home was as advertised!! Clean well appointed and the kitchen was well stock and organized... plenty of things to do nearby espically the BR Music center,Galax and Shelton Vineyards!!!! Oh... the view from the home was/is spectacular !!!! And the owners are very easy to work with... Can't say enough about our entire stay!!! if your thinking about renting this home do not hesitate!!!! We had the BEST time!!!!

Anniversary Stay!

The Hart house was beautiful with an open, airy feeling with huge windows and a high ceiling. The view is spectacular! The kitchen is very well equipped and convenient. We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary in the mountains, which is our favorite place to be. In spite of a rainy and foggy week, we manage to get some hiking in, and loved going up the the Blue Ridge Music Center. The hosts were very quick to answer any questions. Highly recommended! Amazing views, relaxing hot tub, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and a well-equipped house

The drive was worth the wait! As soon as we walked in, the view captured our full attention. The accommodations were more than adequate for our two families of four, and we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We spent our days relaxing in the hot tub, sitting around the fire, playing games, cooking, and enjoying our morning coffee on the deck each morning. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a few hikes on nearby trails and even traveled a little further north so the kids could see snow and went snow tubing. Check in and out was a breeze, and Denise was very responsive to inquiries. We would recommend Hart’s Desire to anyone.

A Place with Hart and Soul

We love staying here. This is our second year staying at this home. Denise is always very helpful and quick to reply. The home is beautiful, the views are beautiful, and the memories that our family makes here are beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough. This will be a place we continue to come to year after year. Denise takes extra thought in preparing for your stay here. You will not be disappointed with picking this home for your vacation spot.
