This waterfront log cabin has everything you need to escape and live the lake life. With over an acre of lawn, a huge private shoreline, and a covered dock, you can enjoy one of Virginia’s best kept secrets without a worry.

This end-lot nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains offers the privacy of a mountain lodge mixed with the views and water access of a lakefront home.

Located less than an hour from Liberty University and the University of Lynchburg, this house is great for families visiting for graduation.

Leesville Lake is home of the Virginia state record for largest striped bass caught at 53 lbs 7oz! It also stocked with walleye and largemouth bass to go along with the natural crappie and catfish.

The private dock is perfect for docking your boat, or one that you rent from the Leesville Lake Marina. If you rent a boat from the Leesville Lake Marina, you can park your car at the marina and drive the boat directly to the house (~20 min boat ride). Make sure to reserve your boat well in advance!

The entire house is available for guests to use. The fully stocked kitchen, main living area, bedrooms, living area in the basement, fitness area, private dock, and over an acre of backyard are all for the guests to enjoy.

4WD is recommended for the driveway. We suggest parking in the cul-de-sac at the top of the driveway after snow or heavy rain.

Wifi is available via a mobile hotspot. We would not rely on this for important work or high-data using activities (online gaming, HD video streaming, etc.).

We really enjoyed our long weekend despite the lake level being many feet down. The weather was perfect, and our dogs enjoyed both the fenced lot/large yard and wooded fire pit area. The cement porch under the deck is in need of repair, as well as the table/chairs located there. It was difficult to see on the dock/bridged walkway as there is no electricity, so some form of battery operated or lantern lighting would have been most helpful for fishing after dark. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Just what we were looking for

Host Ryan was great, very accommodating and quick to respond positively with any questions/request. The house was just what we wanted, a peaceful and fun summer retreat on the lake. Our family enjoyed days on the lake with rafts, boards (we brought our own but they have kayaks, canoes, and many floats that you can use), fishing, swimming and just hanging/reading under the covered dock. Took Ryan’s advice and rented a boat for a day at nearby Leesville Lake Marina- super easy process. The house had many board games, ping pong, darts and other activities for the evenings. Overall was a really great place to stay, definitely recommend.
