About this property

Always East Lake- all sports lake, on Little Hart Lake, swim, kayak, fishing

When the leaves turn and the lake goes quiet, there is no better place to disappear than tucked deep in the woods of Twin Lake, Michigan.

Always Hart Lake carries a story that has been passed down for generations. In the early 1900s, well-dressed visitors from Chicago traveled north to this very area — drawn by the clean water, the dense woods, and the kind of privacy you simply could not find back in the city. Some believe this home may have been one of their quiet hideaways — a place to relax, regroup, and enjoy time where no one asked too many questions.

Fall here is something special. The Manistee National Forest surrounds the lake with stunning color. The water goes calm and clear. The fire pit becomes the center of every evening. And the fishing — fall fishing on Hart Lake is exceptional.

Today, it’s your turn to escape.

I love being a host because it allows me to bring each home to life and share the character of the community I live in. Being local, I have a deep connection to these homes and the Muskegon area. My goal is to create spaces where guests can truly relax and feel at home, whether they’re visiting for adventure, rest, or time together. Every home is designed with comfort, warmth, and a sense of belonging in mind.

Why they chose this property

I chose this place for its peaceful, natural setting. Sitting by the lake and watching the sunlight move across the water is incredibly calming, especially on quiet mornings and evenings. In the fall and spring, the crisp air and changing light make it even more special.

Surrounded by National Forest land, this home offers more than just lake views. Nearby trails invite exploration, and the sense of being immersed in nature is something I truly love. The water, the light, and the quiet create a space that encourages you to slow down, relax, and simply enjoy where you are.

I hope you’ll find it as peaceful and memorable as I do.

What makes this property unique

This home is truly a labor of love. When we first found it, it was a small, overlooked space—but we saw something special and brought it back to life with thoughtful updates while preserving its character.

Though the home is cozy in size, it’s designed to make every inch count. Inside, guests can comfortably gather, but the real magic happens outdoors—by the lake, on the patio, and in the fresh air. An outdoor shower makes lake days easy, and the upper level offers three inviting sleeping spaces, with additional space below for relaxing.

This is a place that surprises people in the best way. It’s not about square footage—it’s about the experience of being on the water, slowing down, and enjoying nature. We loved creating this home, and we hope you love staying here just as much.
