Overall it’s a nice house, it was just very squeaky when walking around house and could use some minor fixes in the bathroom.

Thanks for staying with us and for the heads-up! We’re glad the house treated you well overall. We’ll take a closer look at the squeaky spots and bathroom odds and ends so those little things don’t keep stealing the spotlight.

Unfortunately, this stay fell far below expectations. The home lacked basic supplies, the yard wasn’t maintained(home actually looked abandoned), and major construction out front—never disclosed—made the outdoor area unusable. A staff member arrived smelling of marijuana, raising safety concerns. Despite sending photos and communicating with the host multiple times each day, we received only a 59 refund nearly two weeks later. This host seems interested only in doing the minimum, not in providing a good guest experience.

We’re sorry this stay missed the mark. We understand that arriving to a home that did not feel fully ready can be frustrating, and that is never the first impression we want for any guest. We do want to be fair about a few points. Our team stayed in touch and worked on the reported items as they came up, including getting the missing supplies delivered and following up on the yard concern. For the road work, that kind of city or neighborhood construction is outside of our control and can happen without advance notice to the property, so it was not something we intentionally withheld. Regarding the person who dropped off the supplies, that is not feedback we have received before, but we still took it seriously. We never want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so the concern was documented and will be reviewed. We wish this had been a better fit, but we appreciate you sharing the feedback and we’ll use it to tighten up the areas that need it.

The host was amazing! The communication was easy and efficient. We felt welcome in the home. It was roomy and spacious. There were 5 of us, age 15 to 50. We had a great time. The house is close to EVERYTHING that matters in Dallas. It was in a safe, walkable neighborhood. And was reasonably priced for rental. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Dallas, TX.

This is such a great snapshot of a stay, thank you for sharing it. We’re really glad the home felt welcoming and comfortable for everyone, especially with a mixed age group. Being close to all the good Dallas spots while still feeling safe and walkable is one of our favorite things about the location too. We truly appreciate the recommendation and would love to host you again anytime you’re back in town.

We arrived at this property and had to leave almost immediately because it was not as advertised and, in our view, unfit for our group to stay in.On arrival we found:•A pest problem, including a wasp nest on the porch and signs of rodents in and around the property.•Major road construction directly outside the house, with road closures, heavy machinery, dust and noise, making access difficult and the environment unpleasant.•Significant homeless activity in the immediate area, which felt unsafe and was not reflected in the listing; one person approached us as we got out of our Uber.•A strong, persistent damp smell inside the house. The sagging roof and overall condition suggest underlying moisture issues, and one member of our group started wheezing after just a few minutes indoors.•Overgrown and poorly maintained gardens front and back, and an overall level of exterior neglect that does not match the listing photos. These issues together meant the property was not suitable for us. Had the listing accurately represented the condition of the house and surrounding area, we would not have booked it. We documented what we saw with multiple photos and raised it with the host, but have not received any compensation or satisfactory resolution, so we had to book alternative accommodation at our own expense.I would strongly recommend that future guests check recent photos and reviews carefully before booking, and that the listing be updated to reflect the actual condition.
