The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

All used towels can be placed in the bathtub. No need to strip the beds, our cleaning team will!

Turn AC to 78 before departing.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Must register all names and ages of guest staying. The guest that makes the reservation must be present. No subletting or changing guests.

No smoking or vaping inside the cottage. There will be a $450 smoking penalty if there is any evidence of smoking inside.

Septic system. VERY IMPORTANT ONLY flush toilet paper. If wipes or feminine products are flushed system backs up. $400 fee for plumbing service.

Loved the deck by the river. Very peaceful. Wonderful, updated kitchen with all amenities. Our host, Christie, went out of her way to help us with any issue we had and they were few. Would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a nice, clean and peaceful place to stay in the Stuart area.

Perfect for what we were seeking for our annual spring training trip. Very convenient for all 3 east coast stadiums. The back patio felt like you were in the bayou of rural Louisiana--lots of gators in the murky river. You're safely above them, so no need to worry! You are right off the highway, so you will hear traffic. Hostess was exceptional. Will come again next year.

Beds were very uncomfortable. And the home is very close to the road, and construction vehicles are firing up early in the morning to work on the road. We did not stay for the entire time we’d reserved, even though our reservation was non-refundable.

This guest reserved our cottage. She did not enter the property. Our rules state guests that make reservation must stay. Her son stayed one night alone and a second night with an authorized guest. Read my reviews-/ no other guest has complained Unless a guest stays at the property they should not be allowed to write a review. I don’t know what was going on with this guest but I can tell you Christine did not step onto our property. It seems she had no intention of staying. She booked it for her son who is very unhappy in general.

If you are looking for a place that provides you with everything you need, you found it!!!

When I rent a property I want to be able to cook and have the supply's I need. This kitchen is the best supplied kitchen I have ever seen, and I have rented a lot! It is clean, warm and inviting. We didn't want for anything. Just loved sitting out on the back deck, grilling and relaxing.

Thank you Margaret! I appreciate your comments. I am glad you enjoyed the time and hope you return! I also cook and set up the kitchen with that in mind! When one travels they can go out for special dinners in the area but they are able to stay in their comfy clothes at home ad prepare meals if they prefer! Publix is super close. I also stock trash bags, laundry soap, coffee, spices, pam spray, dishwasher soap, tp, and much more so you are not pressed to immediately visit the store for your basic needs! Best regards, Christy

Welcome to our Cozy River Cottage. I am a Realtor in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. My husband and I enjoy kayaking, golfing and playing pickle-ball. We reside in the Winter Equestrian Capital of the world! I am always available to answer any questions you have.

Why they chose this property

The St Lucie River!!! That is the main reason. This little home needed refreshing and we gave it the updates we knew you would like. It is a great location for anyone who has business to conduct as you are able to access I95 quickly or to hideaway for a peaceful rest from your job. Watch the wildlife in the back. Various birds, perhaps an alligator or river otter. So fun to relax out back and observe nature.

What makes this property unique

Bring your boat. We have a boat launch around the corner and a boat-lift to hold your boat while you are relaxing. There is room to park your trailer on our private street. We are not on Kanner highway but on a private street beneath Kanner highway. Also there is electrical for a motor home if needed. We are able to convert that to plug in an electric car but would need advance notice in order to accommodate. We have some board games inside as well as the corn hole game which you can set up on the back deck! Enjoy!
