The Salmon Lodge was a great VRBO. The place oozes PNW mountain charm, the cleanliness was on point, and the place was well stocked with tons of supplies. We plan on booking a winter stay in the future.
A clean and comfortable home. Great location to take off on your bikes to explore. The garage won't fit larger trucks as it is short but street parking is available.

Thanks Jessica! It was a pleasure to have you as a guest.
Everything was really great. I only have 1 recommendation, the futon upstairs was not very comfortable.

Hi Danielle, thank you for staying with us and glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks so much for the feedback on the upstairs futon. We are sorry that it was uncomfortable and we will look into hopefully improving it in the near future.
The location is quiet and close to everything. The house is FULLY stocked with movies, games, local info, books, toys for kids, kitchen supplies, laundry items... anything you could need. There's a yard for dogs that won't "go" on walks (ours doesn't so we were relieved.) The upstairs balcony was my favorite spot- fun view of the mill and perfect for sunset viewing. Our kids loved it! We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We had an incredibly comfortable stay with our 2 pets. Great side yard for a dog! Loved the large master with walk-in closet and large bathroom. The gorgeous fireplace kept us nice and warm when lounging in the living room. Wish the weather was warmer so we could have experienced the balcony with views of the lighted smokestacks in the Old Mill District. We could see the lights from the living room and front door, though, so that was great! The location was great and close to so much, including the Old Mill, the Box Factory, and downtown. The home was extremely well-appointed and had everything we needed (and more) for our stay. Courtney (the owner) was very communicative and was very accommodating when we needed an early entrance to the property for our pet. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area.

About the host
Hosted by Courtney Nelson
Born and raised in western Washington. Moved to California at 17 and found a new amazing home here! I have been a resident of the Peninsula bay area since 2007. I met my now husband on the soccer field in (of super intense adult league co-ed) in 2009. He's a native of New Jersey but similarly converted to Californian at a young age. We have loved our experiences traveling with AirBnb and look forward to hosting now too!
Why they chose this property
We chose this property to begin our vacation rental/VRBO journey because Bend immediately felt like a home away from home for us. There are innumerable amazing adventures awaiting anyone who visits. This property achieves such a rare balance of: welcoming and comforting feel, while also being modern, bright, and airy inside. To top it off in an even more perfect way, this property has a sterling 10 year reputation as an elite vacation rental with the kindest and most thoughtful prior hosts. We look forward to bringing this wonderful place into the lives of new guests (and many wonderful return guests as well)
What makes this property unique
The Salmon Lodge has a striking open architecture in a modern but comfortable Northwest lodge style. It features 33 windows and each space is bathed in rejuvenating light. A luxurious great room with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. There main floor ceiling soars to the second floor rooftop. The gas fireplace is topped with a unique and artistic juniper mantle. A sky bridge leads above the great room to a small bar area and then outside to a second-floor exterior deck that offers stunning views of the Cascades. The home has gas heat and a gas fireplace in winter as well as air conditioning & four ceiling fans in summer.
Accommodations include three bedrooms including two master suites (one king and one queen). The five beds include a king (in the luxury master suite), two queens in bedrooms, a queen sleeper sofa in the great room (best for kids or younger teens), and a twin futon bed in the loft for a total sleeping capacity of six to eight. A portable crib and baby gates for the top and bottom of the stairs are also provided. The luxurious four-piece king master shower/bath includes a jetted Jacuzzi soaking tub.
There is a modest fenced area with a patio, second outdoor table and gas grill. The fenced area is sufficient to serve as a dog run for smaller dogs. A two-car garage behind the Salmon Lodge is entered from a private alley.
During the day enjoy the natural environment and stimulating outdoor pursuits for which Bend is famous, including skiing, mountain biking, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, horseback riding and golf – just to name a few. Then in the evenings take in the restaurants, entertainment and shopping that fill Bend’s Westside. Or just relax at the lodge and watch the sun set over the Cascades from the outdoor dining table on the upper deck as you quaff a beverage from the nearby minibar. The Lodge includes cable TV, Wifi Internet, and DVDs (including children’s), CDs, books and board games.
