Charming Waterfront home w/ Hot Tub/ Kayaks / Paddle Boards / Pedal Boat, has a gentle slope to the water with spectacular wide water main channel views. A spacious open floor plan with 2,800 sq. ft on 2 levels, with 1,400 sq. ft on the upper level and 1,400 sq. ft on the lower level. The house features lakeside floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire upper level open floor plan, a 55" flat screen upstairs & a 65" flat screen on the lower level, a fully equipped newly renovated gourmet kitchen, dining area, and great room. The master suite with King Bed & Mattress and full bath and a 2nd (upstairs) bedroom with full bath complete the upper level. A deck that runs the full length of the home offers an additional area for relaxing and outdoor dining. On the lower level are two additional bedrooms, a bath, family room with TV, a foosball table, and two (2) additional sleeping areas. Note: House includes 4 bedrooms & 2 additional sleeping areas (sleeping areas are not technically bedrooms).

You will enjoy the screened in porch off the lower level for afternoon napping or for watching the children play on the lovely back lawn. After a fun day of lake activities, you will love watching the sunset while relaxing in the hot tub. A floater and large stationary dock provide plenty of room for fishing and sunbathing.

Water Fun available for your use include: 2 Adult Kayaks, 2 Child Kayaks, 2 Paddle Boards, a 5 person Paddle Boat, a large 15' x 6' water mat, and many floats for swimming & relaxation in the water.

We had a blast! The view was gorgeous. We really appreciated all of the extra cooking supplies, storage containers, and toiletries. It all came in handy with our family. The prevalence of deer was a huge hit with the kiddos.

Rented this property for a friends reunion we do every year in different locations. This property was everything it was advertised to be. It was spacious and accommodating for 7 adults. The views were amazing and the amenities were beyond satisfactory. This rental was, by far, the best interaction with a host that I’ve ever had. The owner was accessible, flexible, and helped us however we needed. If I ever return to Moneta, this is the property I will book.

This was a great vacation home. It is newly remodeled with great views from inside the house. We had 4 couples (8 adults) and were all very comfortable. The highlight is the patio with an awesome fire pit with beautiful sunset views and the huge dock with space to dock both of our boats and still have room to fish and just sit and enjoy the view. The owner's communication was fantastic. We reached out due to one minor issue, but he responded very quickly, was on top of it, and had it fixed within a couple hours. I highly recommend staying at this house.

Great house in a beautiful location!

You can’t beat this house’s view of Smith Mountain Lake! Renting this house was very easy and the property manager was accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

Great location and host.

First of all I want to say what a great host! Also the house was very nice and in a great location. Everything we needed in the kitchen and so many extras for the lake. Hope to return to this home for another great vacation.

Lake Vacation

The house was extremely clean and well cared for by the owner. Everyone in my group had a great time. There were nine of us and we still had room to spare. We had a great time with the kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boat. Our visit was over the Memorial Day weekend and the weather was a little chilly but that didn’t keep us out of the water! We highly recommend this property!!

Fabulous Place on the Lake

Look no further...this place provides a perfect family weekend at the lake! We enjoyed kayaking and sitting down on the dock until sunset. Dinner by fire pit, and then cuddled up on the sofa for a movie. We loved it!

Great Vacation Home

Thank you so much for the wonderful accomodations. The house had EVERYTHING you could possibly want and then some. The dock was great, the kids loved it and spent countless hours jumping and swimming when we were not boating. The location is convenient to everything, and a very beautiful spot. We would highly recommend this rental to everyone we know, we really enjoyed ourselves.

SML bliss

We love this house. The owner is very informative about everything and can be easily reached. The house is well stocked with everything. Our niece who lives in Roanoke came to visit with her little boys one day, and the kids all loved playing on the mat in the lake. It’s a quick trip to the marina where we can rent a boat.

Awesome house

We enjoyed our week at SML and the house was perfect for our family of 11. There were plenty of beds and plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The location was great - close to Food Lion and restaurants and a gorgeous view with a quiet cove for swimming. Loved all the water toys and used them all - kayaks, paddleboards, floats and paddle boat. The walk from house to Lake was also ideal for the seniors that were with us. Not too long or too steep. Tom was very responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely go back.

Fantastic Rental

We stayed with some friends over a long weekend, and our experience with this property could not have been better! The house was roomy, with plenty of space for people to spread out; clean and very well-kept. The house is located right on the water, with beautiful views of the lake, especially in the evenings. Things that were notable: the owners have installed a very large dock umbrella to provide protection during the day, and provide chairs, kayaks and noodles for use; hot tub; a large backyard for outdoor games; property is only 5-10 min. from several grocery stores, restaurants and a winery! The owners were great to work with, we definitely hope to come back. Thanks Tom!

What a beauty spot!

We arrived this house around evening. As soon as we walked in, we were attracted by incredible sun set right across the glass doors! Without wasting a minute, we opened a bottle of wine, grabbed few glasses, then sat on the deck chairs... our enjoyment has began! I really don't have to mention how well the house is equipped, enough rooms and beds sufficient for up to 12 people, how nice the owner's communication was -- these already supported by other people's reviews -- only with the breath taking view of sun set, you won't get it wrong!

Our stay was AMAZING! It was my birthday/anniversay weekend so we decided to get a group of 12 friends together to celebrate! It was so much fun! The house is gorgeous and spotless! The hot tub was fun to use! The hot tub was put to good use also! We brought our two boats with us and the dock was perfect for keeping them there! If we were not out on the boats we were laying out on the floating dock! I can not express how perfect this weekend was! Tom and Tara were fabulous to work with! Everytime I had a question, they were their for us! We are already planning a trip for next year!

A Great Family Get-Away!

We had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving 2011 in this wonderful home. We enjoyed a family get-together coming from Baltimore, northern Virginia, and Virginia Beach. We had plenty of space for the six adults and five children. The kids took over the downstairs level and were able to spread out in the bedrooms as well as bunk bed nook. We were so lucky with the unseasonably warm weather (highs in the low 80s!) We spent our days kayaking in the water, hiking in the state park, reading on the porch and dock, visiting the dam, and preparing for a Thanksgiving foosball tournament! We also enjoyed the hot tub. The view of the water was amazing and the sunsets were like nothing I've ever seen. Tom was so accommodating and easy to work with. The home is lovely and well appointed, and we hope to return again soon!

Ringing in the New Year at SML

Spent a 4 day New Years weekend with out of state family and grandkids at this amazing lake front house. The location, wide open views, ease of the slope getting to the dock, well designed fire pit with plenty of firewood, hot tub that seemed brand new, very clean and beautiful home with everything you could possibly think of, even little extras that you didn’t think of, clean, well organized lake equipment, nice, comfortable, ample seating to relax or visit and talk with family inside and outside, and an exceptional host, make this one of the best VRBOs we’ve stayed in. We’ve had great experiences with the rentals we choose because we always check reviews, make sure the house is what we’re expecting and ask the owner if we need clarification. That being said, this rental and Tom, the owner of this lake house, are top notch and I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Would love to come again and stay at this house during the summer.

Great views! Great host!!

We agreed with most of the reviews that mentioned what a wonderful, helpful host Tom was and how the house didn’t lack for anything. Kitchen was well equipped as stated. Our only issue was the stove was hard to cook on- temperature was inconsistent. Instructions stated not to use higher setting but we couldn’t get the water to boil. King bed was ok- not great. Basement was nice but stayed much colder than first floor. One bedroom there had no air vents. The dock was a little small and the 2 floating docks were hard to stand on when wakes came it- very often, and the stationary dock was inconvenient to use. The master bath could use a towel rack . The master br could use a chair. So I rated it a 4 because I think some items could be improved. That said, we had a great week and enjoyed our stay very much!

Why they chose this property

The owners were full time residents of Smith Mountain Lake from 1994 until 2003, when a job relocation forced them to leave the area (temporarily, we'll definitely be back!). The home location was chosen as the perfect setting in a cove ideal for swimming, and also on a point with spectacular wide water/main channel views.

What makes this property unique

Located a short distance from Bridgewater Plaza at Hales Ford Bridge. Several restaurants, a marina, mini-golf, retail shops, and other forms of entertainment are waiting there for you to enjoy.
