Perfect location

This house is a well hidden gem. Location is very nice, the house is well equipped, comfortable, clean and decorated with a nice beach house feel. Owners are also very friendly and helpful.

A perfect place!

We had trouble finding a location that wasn’t excessively expensive for the 2024 Belmont Stages. But, this great cottage was perfect and came with everything you need, peace and quiet, and a great price. We loved everything about it!

Perfect get away! We enjoyed the peace and quiet lake front property- the time spent kayaking on the lake was awesome, as well as the fires at night. John’s cottage was a great find for us as we were looking for a place in the general Lake George area. Absolutely no regrets!!!

This was a the breathe of fresh air I needed

All I can say is this was one trip we will never forget. John and Val made us feel like family and it was so hard to leave. My kids adored them and loved every second of being there. The cottage was perfect, lake was perfect and hostess was perfect truly looks forward to making this a tradition.

Sweet Nook & Cranny Near Saratoga Springs!

We came up for the Dead & Co. show at SPAC and this location (Argyle, Summit Lake) was awesome! We don't like to stay in the middle of all the action and prefer some distance and quiet. If you're like us, than this is your place! It has charm, personality, nice decor, and great amenities. The lake view and surrounding area were cherries on top. Best of all is that John and Valerie are super-nice hosts and very accommodating. You really can't ask for more than that.

Beautiful!

The cottage was beautiful! It had everything you would need for a perfect stay and the decor is adorable! Even had games and puzzles for a rainy evening. The lake is directly in front of the cottage and the lake was perfect for myself and my kids. We brought our own paddleboards and used the owner's kayaks. It was such an amazing stay. The area was beyond perfect for us. Just far enough in the country, but close enough to drive to Lake George and Saratoga for dinner. The owners were friendly and helpful too. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Beautiful and quiet spot

What a little gem this place was. Super clean. Just steps from the lake and beautiful views. Hosts were lovely. Check in was a breeze. We were truly sad to leave. We originally booked this place because our original Vrbo reservation was cancelled on us last minute. We were disappointed at first, but we are thrilled it worked out the way it did because this place was awesome. WAY better than our original reservation. So I guess things do happen for a reason. We highly recommend this spot if you need a few days to unwind, disconnect and just enjoy the simple things in life.

Cottage propre et beau décor

Tout était parfait pour notre petit séjour. La cuisine est bien équipée et nous n’avons manqué de rien dans le cottage (serviettes de bain, papier de toilette, literie, jeux, Tv…), tout y était. L’endroit est propre à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur. Beau décor en face de la maison avec le lac, nous avons apprécié. Par contre, ce n’est peut-être pas l’endroit idéal si vous voulez être isolé, les voisins sont proches. Ce n’était pas un problème pour nous car on partait pour visiter aux alentours dans la journée. Merci c’était très agréable.

Beautiful area

We loved the views and the location was within 30 minutes of all kinds of vacation fun. We enjoyed horse racing at Saratoga, hiking in the Adirondacks, and a trip to Lake George where there is something for everyone. This property was perfect and I would recommend this cottage to anyone
