Deer Meadow Lodge ~ 'The Heart of the Black Hills'. Located just 20 miles from Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore and Rapid City. At Deer Meadow you can 4-wheel, hike or cross-country ski right from the front door. Snowmobile trails with in 10 miles from the lodge. Pack your tackle/poles because your close to some of the best stream fishing or lake fishing.

If you're into biking the Mickelson trail is less than 8 miles away! If you're into gambling Deadwood is only 18 miles to the north on hwy 385 with cab service. Spacious Kitchen with all the utensils you'll ever need and more! Dining table sits 6 plus breakfast bar for 4! You'll relish the nice yard, large wrap around deck and outdoor hot tub.

Deer Meadow is perfect for a family vacation, business trips, hunting excursions or the Sturgis Rally with privacy! This place is also great for touring the hills because you're in the middle of all the attractions and it will save you time seeing everything! We look forward to your stay!! Your less than 20 miles to rent snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, and bikes for the Mickelsen trail. It is only 20 miles to Rapid City for shopping, golf courses, groceries, and etc. Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse is only 25-30 miles. Several caves in the hills to tour. Less than 6 miles to chuck wagon dinner/ show. Lake Pactola is only 8 miles away that offers fishing, boat rentals and water skiing. Jon Crane gallery in Hill City is 20 miles. Rochford is 10 miles 'Moonshine Gulch Saloon/Small of America'. Spearfish canyon is 30 miles. Was perfect place to stay to take in all the siteseeing around the area between Custer and Deadwood. Host was available to answer questions we had upon arrival. Hot tub was a nice added amenity to provide some relaxation at the end of each day!

This was an amazing place to stay. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to relax after exploring Badlands National Park and Custer State Park. The house was perfect for us. The location was great for all of the things we wanted to do. We visited Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Badlands National Park and Devils Tower Monument and everything was within a 90 minute drive. The host was fantastic and everything went very smoothly. We would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We had a fantastic one week stay at this property. The lodge is very cozy and peaceful and is as described in the listing. We utilized the fireplace every night as the weather was a bit chilly and it made for a great atmosphere. The lodge is in a perfect setting and was central to all of our activities. Having the Sugar Shack nearby was great as well. Dealing with Mike is a pleasure and everything went smoothly. We had an outstanding time at this property.

We had a wonderful stay at Deer Meadow Lodge! The cabin was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It fit our family of six perfectly and had plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved the outdoor décor throughout the house—it really added to the cozy Black Hills feel. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and it was a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The host made everything easy and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

Mike was a great host and communicated every step of the way. The house was clean especially the kitchen. We really appreciated that all the pots and pans were clean and did not need an extra wipe down. The cabin was peaceful. Would recommend to other to stay here.

This cabin was great! It was a perfect fit for our family of all ages. Kitchen arrangement made it easy to have additional guests over for games and food. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the “loft room”was perfect to have a young child and a toddler sleep close by. The hot tub was a nice amenity for all! It was an overall great place to spend the holidays.

Great place to stay! Nice to have a comfortable place to come back to after a long day out sightseeing. Beautiful walks in the mornings and evenings and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Conveniently close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and an awesome side by side rental place.Would 100% stay here again!

Why they chose this property

Being a college student in the middle 1980's at Black Hills State College in Spearfish; I had many weekends to explore the hills and always found this part the most beautiful and it stuck when I decided to purchase...

What makes this property unique

You will be located right in the 'Heart of the Beautiful Black Hills'. The property has a very large, covered porch and open deck to relax in this picturesque setting! Plan to be surprised in the mornings and evenings with deer and turkeys in the yard. Maybe even an elk as we have seen them in the immediate area many times. We have a real fireplace to sit by with good book in the evenings. The property has a hot tub to relax your muscles after a day four-wheeling, snow skiing, sightseeing, & etc. We only use high quality mattresses, linens and pillows for our guests. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you would need. If there is something, you need just let us know and we will try to have it there for you. We offer wireless internet, telephone (free long-distance calls) and Dish TV on a 50' HDTV. The property offers an oversize 3-stall garage for your vehicles or bikes. We also have a laundry room if needed (free of charge).
