Where the Mountain meets the Lake. Lakefront cottage, views of Mount Kearsarge!
***7-night minimum in warmer months, Saturday check in/out*** Drink in the stunning views of Mount Kearsarge across the water and listen to the call of loons at this sweet Bradley Lake cottage. With direct lake access from the private dock, unobstructed views, a comfortable deck and cozy interior, this location affords year-round adventure on the protected shores of Bradley Lake, abutting vast woodlands. A retreat that mixes ample amenities with outdoor adventure!
In the warmer seasons enjoy easy access to hiking at nearby Mt. Kearsarge and Winslow State Parks, a 58-mile long rail trail for running or biking, swimming on the far end of Bradley Lake, Mountain Biking at Highland Mountain Bike Park, and golfing at Kearsarge Valley Golf Course. Paddle out into the lake (two kayaks, one canoe and life jackets provided), or fish for smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch. Spend evenings catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. The waterfront is down a steep hillside from the cottage. At the bottom there is a flat area with a firepit and dock. The boats are stored near the waterfront but require two people (or one strong person) to lift and bring them to the water. This is not an ideal property for very small children.
Swimming is not allowed directly at the cottage, as per town regulations. There is a public access point (a hilly mix of grass and sand-not a flat beach) a three-minute walk from the cottage. The second (and best) place to swim is the 'swimming island' in the middle of the lake which you can access by canoe (in under 5 minutes).
In the winter enjoy downhill skiing at Mt Sunapee & Ragged Mountain, ice fishing, and unlimited backcountry (XC) skiing & snowshoeing.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics: refrigerator and freezer, oven, stove, toaster, drip coffee machine, water kettle, blender, pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils. There is a gas grill on the deck for your use in the warmer months.
The cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed and large walk-in closet, and two very small bedrooms, one with a single bed and the other with a double loft bed.
Please note that the cottage has one quirk, which is that to enter the large bedroom you must pass through the bathroom.
There are mini-splits for heating and cooling in the open living area and the large bedroom, as well as a wood stove.
The cottage offers robust and fast internet at 1 gigabit so bring your laptops! A selection of books and board games are available for your enjoyment.
There are exterior security cameras on the property.

wonderful serene place to stay. What vacation is meant to be, Go out early morning on the lake and spend it with the loons, fish off the dock , excellent location to sightsee around New Hampshire , hosts were unbelievably attentive especially when the power went out one night.
My mother and sister needed a much earned vacation and this little cabin on Bradley lake was perfect. They loved waking in the morning and looking at Mt Kearsarge in the distance with the loons floating on the lake in front of them. Thanks for the stay.
Cute lake house on the water. My kids loved playing by the dock and my husband brought his fishing kayak. Great gravel riding in the area - the Kearsarge Classic route is 2 miles away.
We really enjoyed the Andover fireworks.
Loved the house. Family of four with two young children. Very quiet area. House was clean and in great condition. Everything we needed to get out on the lake and kayak/canoe was provided and in great condition. Check in was easy. Communication with host was excellent. Kitchen was well-equipped and clean. Good selection of board games and books.
Very nice small clean cottage. Perfect for 2 or small family. Had all accessories necessary for cooking. Great little quiet lake for canoe & kayak. Small beach area but meet very nice people. Wish bed was a bit bigger & not so low. Tough for us old people!!! But we loved our stay and would recommend it.

Thanks Bonnie. We’re glad you enjoyed the cottage and our special lakefront spot. Sorry the bed wasn’t easy for you to use. It is a queen size bed which is stated in the listing. In terms of the height, it is a slat bedframe so it doesn’t require a box spring under the mattress, which is why it is a little lower than box spring beds. Most folks do find it very comfortable but I understand the lower height might be a challenge for elderly folks. I hope it was a great time otherwise!
This guest felt that our property was not safe for her toddlers and she left before even spending one night, but she did not tell me she was leaving. To my surprise, when I sent her the checkout instructions, on the day before what was the end of her reservation, she responded saying she had not stayed there and asked for her money back. If she had told me immediately when she left that it did not work for her, I could’ve opened up the dates and potentially somebody else would’ve booked it, and then I would gladly have given her back her money. But to ask this after the stay is over made it impossible for me to recuperate the losses. So I did not give her back her money. While she did not write anything in her review, I suspect the one star is due to the fact that I didn’t give her back her money and that she felt it wasn’t safe for small children. We have never had any complaints like this before, and we ourselves have spent lots of time in this house and at the waterfront with small children with no issues. Hopefully the other reviews will guide you to a more accurate understanding of our cottage.
