From our family to yours — this home has truly been a labor of love. We’re excited to share our updated modern‑farmhouse retreat nestled between both sandy beaches of Long Lake. It’s the perfect quiet getaway with plenty of space for your entire group to relax, unwind, and reconnect.

You’ll be close to everything: Long Lake (all‑sports lake), 4 kayaks available to rent directly from us (liability form + small fee apply) or pontoon rental company (we can recommend), fishing, farms, amazing wineries (it’s Traverse City, after all!), tennis courts, community parks with play structures and a running track, Moomer’s Ice Cream & Farm, Jacob’s Farm, Gallagher’s Farm, Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark, Crystal Mountain, downtown Traverse City, restaurants, and more — all within 5–15 minutes. Inquire about our flyer we created for our guests specifically.

About the Home
Our spacious, family‑owned home features an open floor plan with over 2,100 sq ft on the main level plus a finished walk‑out basement of about the first floor size filled with various arcade and board games. Located on a private 1.2‑acre corner lot, it offers both comfort and seclusion.

Great Place!!

We took our mom (78 yoa) for a nice relaxing weekend w/family. Spent time at the National Cherry Festival, went to Moomers (a couple times), visited shops, and ate at many restaurants. Had a great time, wish the weather was a little nicer, but we’ll take it!

What a Great Place to Stay!

This house worked out so well for my family. The host was very easy to work with, the location was perfect, the beds were comfortable and the accommodation was especially good for the kids who found plenty to do. What else can I say? You won't be disappointed with this lovely house.

The house was very nice. Host was responsive and helpful. Kitchen was lacking a bit with pans but we made it work. Enjoyed the basement with games. Very nice space to relax. The upstairs needs a bathroom. Seven people for two bathrooms was not easy.

Our rental offers a variety of dishes, cups, silverware, frying pans and boiling pans that are stored at the bottom of lazy Susan cabinet. I am a bit surpised that you did not see them but as i mentioned in my welcome communication to your family - we are always responding within an hour or two to our guests. I could certainly point you out to where they are. We do have two bathrooms and can host the max of 8 people that we advertise in our listing and disclosed to our guests at the time of booking. We appreciate the feedback and hope you made a lot of great memories!

A delight!

We had such a lovely stay at this Weatherwood property. Ample room for our family...3 bedrooms for the grownups and a spacious room for multiple kids! We felt at home right away. It was a welcoming home to return to after a busy day. We would not hesitate to stay here again , given the opportunity!

Perfect for our family

We come up for Cherry festival every summer. This was the first time we stayed as a family under one roof. The house was perfect place for us to stay. Plenty of entertainment for the kiddos in the basement and yard. The open concept was nice to meet with everyone in the morning and figure out plan for the day.

Family Gathering

Wonderful property in a great location. We weren't there for the beach, but it's in super close proximity to Long Lake. Also a quick jaunt to golf and restaurants and downtown Traverse City. We really enjoyed our stay. Large bedrooms, plenty of towels and essentials in the bathrooms and kitchen. Great games in the basement as well. Overall, we had a great time connecting with our adult kids in an environment where everyone had everything they needed to be comfortable!

Fantastic Location

Great location if you want to experience everything Leelanau Peninsula has to offer. We spent time in Traverse City, Empire/Sleeping Bear Dunes, Sutton’s Bay and more. Rove Winery, Jacobs Farm, Gallagher’s market stand and Moomers are all so close and are fantastic! The homeowner’s information was super easy to follow and the home had every amenity we needed plus more. My daughter especially loved the games downstairs. Lots of space, great fire pit, and privacy — looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Wonderful rental

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is clean, well equipped with comfortable beds, a variety of pots and pans, coffee maker, appliances and more. The home is conveniently located near Long Lake. There was a nice long driveway where we could park our boat and several other cars. There is a firepit in the back yard and lawn chairs. The owner was very easy to work with. We would recommend this home for any family visiting the Traverse City area

Bachelorette get together

This is a beautiful home with plenty of sleeping space. It comes fully stocked including coffee. There is a countertop ice machine for drinks. Everyone said how comfortable the beds were. Great fire pit in the back yard to enjoy. Two bathrooms made it so convenient for everyone to get ready.

Why they chose this property

Why would you want to rent our place out of the ample variety of other places? This is a spacious ranch house with 1+ acre land that can welcome 8+ guests overnight. It is tastefully decorated with much attention to details inside and out. It is nestled between the two sandy beaches of Long Lake with the boat launch on one of them. The location is so amazing that it is practically close to anything. These are just some examples: Walk or short drive to the beach, 8min to Rove vineyard, 15 min to downtown, 8 min to the major retailers, 5 min to Moomers and Jacob's, 2 min to tennis courts and kids playgrounds (but we also have a playground in our yard), fishing, Crystal Mountain 30min, Sleeping Bear Dunes 30min, Boyne Mountain 1hr. As this is a family owned place, you can expect the warmth as you walk in, you can expect direct communication with the owner, you can expect your family memories made here - this is not a managed cookie cutter, this is a FAMILY loved estate!
