Enjoy the entire first floor of this Victorian Mansion. The Dr. Earl Guest House features 3 bedrooms, 2 with king beds, and one with a twin. 1 and 1/2 baths, living, dining grand foyer and Chefs kitchen. Central A/C, TV and wireless internet. Off street covered parking. Two blocks of the Historic town square. Shopping, dining, a winery, brewery, several resrajrants and so much more. We sleep 5 between the three bedrooms. Max# of guests is 5 Guests can bring in there own extra sleeping equipment. I.E air beds and sleeping bags.

Perfectly Charming

Everything was perfect and easy. The house was a beautiful and convenient location for our stay. We had plenty of room to get ready for the wedding that brought us to town and it was a Hop and skip from Bennet Barn (the wedding venue). We will rent here in the fiture!

Beware if you suffer from arachnophobia!

Unfortunately, our stay was met with disappointment by the overall lack of comfortability. This property’s excessive and active spiderwebs found in every room, including mouse droppings in the bedroom bathroom and kitchen made for an unpleasant stay. The whole house needed a good cleaning. Upon my arrival, I spent my first two hours cleaning and vacuuming the areas of the house we selectively decided to use. Furthermore, the porch was inviting until we realized we had to walk through layers of spiderwebs plaguing the front door and porch. It was also unfortunate to find that there were no chairs or lawn furniture to sit on in order to enjoy the outdoors. There is so much potential for this rental, if only it was given some basic care. To give credit to the owners, they did offer to give us a full refund, however, it was such late notice that we could not find another rental near Lake Mills, so unfortunately we were stuck. This property is overpriced and uncomfortable to stay in.

Comfortable House in a Great Location

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend stay at this house. We found it to be clean and comfortable. The kitchen and main bathroom have been updated nicely. Overall, the house is comfortable and the wonderful restaurants, shops, and large central park in Lake Mills are only a few blocks away.
