This 40s style home has just the right updates to make it a welcoming place. It’s in the heart of everything and just a short drive to wherever you want to go.
This was the perfect weekend getaway! Everything was as advertized. We had so much fun walking downtown and the river walk. Would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you!
Place was clean and very quiet at night. Older neighborhood but felt safe. Place could use a few furniture updates in living room area for more comfort. Bedsheets were super soft.
Nice place, older home but cozy. Could use a new couch and a few blankets, only thin bedspread on both beds. Good location and dog friendly with a good space in the fenced backyard. If the hot tub was working (not part of rental) we’d for sure be back!! Appreciate the dogs welcome. Thx for a nice stay!
The overall stay was okay, the bathroom is very small the steps in the back yard are not very safe, there are loose boards and the step is way to high for people that have problems getting up and down.

I have a classic car and the one thing i wanted was “off street parking” this house only had a short shared parking area which was taken up mostly by the neighbor. The rear deck had broken boards with nails sticking up. The on Air conditioning was 3 small wall units that could barely keep up.

Not for us
I am sure this house would be doable for some, but the noxious fragrances masking the mold, urine smells in the shower and kitchen, and overall uncleanliness was overpowering. The oven doesn’t work (we needed to cook as part of our trip plans), dishes in the cabinets were dirty.
We only stayed one night of our reservation. Left the next day and stayed elsewhere. To say the property needs mold remediation and professional deep cleaning is an understatement.
I do not wish to be disrespectful to those trying to earn a living running this rental, but there are very clear health/hygiene problems that need addressing.
We stayed here for family move in weekend to take our daughter to UNR for her freshman year. The house was minutes from UNR and was convenient for our needs. Thankfully it wasn’t that hot, the AC had a bit of a hard time keeping up as it was. The house was well stocked. Parking for one smaller vehicle on the driveway, and other vehicles need to park on the street.
This house is perfectly located, close to the university and close to the river. We enjoyed the backyard / deck and the ability to take daily walks at the river. Perfect size for a small family.

The property is located near Idlewyld park and within walking distance to the Truckee River. A short drive to Midtown Reno and UNR. The house was just right for me and two others to stay.
