About this property

Only 15 min off Hwy 89! Central to Bryce & Zion! Caves*Fish*Kayak*Firepit*Games

Enjoy the quaint Duck Creek Village Row only 5 minutes away from the chalet. Pine Trees and aspen fill Cedar Mountain - so peaceful! There are ONLY 4 restaurants in Duck Creek open year round, plus four OHV rentals (snowmobile and ATVs) for hundreds of miles of off-road adventure trails, and two adorable gift shops. Centrally located between Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park - each under an hour away. There is so much fun to be had while staying in Duck Creek: many hiking trails in national parks- yes, even in winter! Brian Head Ski Resort is just under an hour during snow season due to route taken. There are nearby hills within 5 min to sled or you can build a snowman with our snowman decor right outside and throw snowballs! Warm beverages, loads of game choices for the family to enjoy. 4X4 with chains are needed on the mountain - though AWD with chains make it too. The locals strongly recommend 4x4.
The home has serving platters and bowls for Thanksgiving with fall decor - and decorates for Christmas after Thanksgiving.

**Enjoy our indoor electric S'mores Maker w/ S'mores Station during the winter/early spring. Solo Stove Fire Pit available from Memorial Day through fall subject to county fire restrictions.

✫ ✫3 BEDROOMS & 3 BATHROOMS✫ ✫
At night you'll find comfortable, luxury mattresses and bedding. We've got several types of pillows for you to choose from. We want you to have a perfect night's sleep. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan. Our three bedrooms sleep 10.

✫Main Level✫
The Master Bedroom on the main level has a King bed with a Dr.Greene Kelly Soft Mattress and Duvet or Coverlet bedding option for premium comfort depending on the season. There are extra blankets for those who like to sleep even warmer. In addition to the ceiling light fan, there are two side lamps and an alarm clock/charging station. You will have direct access to your bathroom from your room, but the bathroom also has a door into the hallway if you choose to let those on the main level use it. The bathroom has a great barn door we installed for extra privacy and a step-in shower. A hair dryer and magnifying mirror are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap for your convenience. My husband likes to lock the door to the hallway and have the kids go to upper or lower-level bathrooms. The log king bed has drawers on each side if you like to unpack and a fairly large closet. The Pack&Play is stored in the master closet for those traveling with young children.

✫Upper Level✫
The "East" room has a Queen log bed, dresser and two nightstands with table lamps and alarm clock/charger station. There is a ceiling light fan. You’ll find extra blankets. A new luxury mattress was placed called "Goldilux" for the perfect Goldilocks night sleep in October.
The Upper Level full Bathroom is between the “East” and “West” bedrooms. It has a shower and a tub. You’ll find a hair dryer and magnifying mirror in the bathroom for your use, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the dispenser on the shower wall.
The "West" room sleeps five or six with two bunk beds and a single bed. One bunk bed is a twin over a full. There is a dresser and nightstand, and a ceiling light fan.

✫Lower Level✫
Need different room configurations with your family and friends? We also offer a queen size inflatable bed purchased from Costco if you wish to use it on the lower level. There is a full bathroom with shower/tub on the lower level. You will also find a hair dryer, as well as the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also an electric fireplace for added warmth as it stays cooler when the rest of the house is warm. There is also a basket of blankets (electric blanket too) for cozying up on the leather recliners. Need a place to work? A Bar-height desk set at the window allows you to see deer passing. A 65” TV is also located on this level.

✫ ✫ADVENTURE CAVE✫ ✫
On the lower level, there are toys, coloring paper/crayons, and books; log pillows to kick back in the cave or living area, and a carpeted area cave for your children to play. We’ve been careful to not have toys that could be a choking hazard. Please do check the toys available. There are also large Jenga blocks to pull out and build in the open living area. There are real caves you can visit while in Duck Creek Village. You can get to Ice Caves from car or ATV trails.

“Home was nestled in a great part of Duck Creek. Amenities were endless and the home was perfect for two families to share. Everything you needed was provided and the communication with the property was impeccable. Will definitely book again if visiting the area.” Meghan C. July'22

The Duck Creek Village neighborhood roads are all dirt. In the winter or when the weather is stormy, having 4x4, AWD, and/or chains are needed. Our street, Redwood Road is long and uphill, but there is an alternate way if the road is too difficult on one section. Now, once to our driveway - flat, flat as can be. We have lots of parking on east and west side of our home.

Gorgeous Getaway!
Great vacation home for us with cozy and cool amenities... yummy coffee, stocked kitchen, large tv for movies, huge kitchen island to sit around, outdoor spaces to enjoy, and living areas inside to congregate. Minutes away we rented ATV and saw beautiful views at Strawberry Point -- highly recommend this. Wish we would have scheduled a longer stay!! Host Katie was/is perfect in her communication and detail.

Amazing Cabin
We loved being in Duck Creek, even though it was only for one night! From the moment we arrived, everything about the cabin was perfect. We ate at a restaurant down the street from the cabin and the food and service were excellent! The cabin was beautiful, clean and had everything we could possibly need, including a welcome gift basket. Katie, the host was very helpful, responsive and super easy to communicate with. I wish we weren’t just passing through. We will definitely be back and look forward to staying again in the future.

Great family trip! Beautiful cabin!
When searching online as soon as we came up on this listing, I knew this would be the best place to celebrate my son’s birthday with our family to have a great experience. The pictures are great however when walking in for the first time this cabin is absolutely beautiful nothing was left attention to detail, and the decor really makes you feel like you’re at home in a place that you can actually live in. The appliances pictures, pans, silverware welcome basket even a custom note from the owner really makes you feel welcomed. The owners spared no expense. You don’t need to bring anything for the exception of food everything you need the cabin had. What made me the happiest was that the children were so excited with the amazing game room, which they played for hours when it was too cold to play outside. We all felt like home and even though we knew we had to get home, no one wanted to leave because this place is awesome. The breathtaking views, when you wake up, looking out of the many windows is just absolutely stunning & beautiful, not to mention peaceful. My son and the other kids were so happy along with my other family members with our entire experience. We are talking about coming back in a summer and being able to experience a cabin in a different season. We can’t wait to come back to this one-of-a-kind weekend retreat and create new memories with my family.

Host profile image
Our family is from northern California and we dreamed of a place in the mountains for lots of exploration opportunities with our three sons. We look forward to retiring one day to southern Utah. We set out to create a vacation rental that would be memorable, loads of fun, and super clean for our guests. My role beyond mom and wife is also homeschooling my children and managing/hosting our place. I love being able to directly help my guests. Growing up, my grandma would rent a mountain home for the family to all connect. I hope my home can make memories for other families and friend groups.

Why they chose this property

I've tried to think of everything to provide the best experience you'll encounter. My guests have appreciated the help I've offered in preparing for their stay by sending them a digital guidebook link upon booking or request. May 2024 we are adding Solo Stove Fire Pit. We also have an electric s'mores maker to go with our S'more treats upon arrival. Our home has a whole house generator. Our guests can enjoy the heat of the propane gas table on the deck. We have many games for families and friends to play. When traveling, I want my guests to bring their clothes and food - but find everything else available to them from laundry soap to kitchen supplies. My goal is for all my guests to have a blast, which is why I have items to appeal to teens and adults and the young ones to enjoy our "Adventure Cave" I envisioned an under stairs closet into a play area with carpet, light and toys when we purchased the home.
In the fall we added national parks unit studies to make those who road school or home school be able to pack even less with offering a curriculum to learn, read and play games on the four closest national parks. I use to be a classroom teacher, and I enjoyed providing a way for those who would like to learn, stay and play.
Staying in Duck Creek Village, keeps you central to some many activities within an hour drive and so much to even explore in Duck Creek Village too. I've reached out to ROAM Outdoor Adventures for a 10% guest discount for any of their tours, and a local ATV Company Utah Off-road Outfitters also has a discount for our guests. Many times we've taken what felt like a quick trip over to Bryce or Zion for a hike. Our chalet's location is perfect in getting to the village.
If you have in mind more friends or family beyond our ten occupancy that you'd like to join, our neighbor has a little cabin that sleeps four.
Have more questions? I'd be happy to answer any and all questions!

What makes this property unique

Loads of outdoor activities from exploring the canyons of Bryce and Zion or the slot canyons and caverns all within an hour drive. You can see water falls, ice caves, dinosaur tracks, coral pink sand, and so much more. Duck Creek Village has several ATV rentals for you to explore all the trails it has to offer. See our Digital guidebook for area suggestions.

For those days of rest, you will find many games. Our cabin is within 5 minutes to the village, and two minutes down the road from a second location of Aunt Sue's restaurant should you prefer not to cook. We've stocked our kitchen well to give you hopefully all you'll need during your stay beyond the food you bring.
