About the host

I'm an immigrant from the Netherlands and arrived in California by way of Florida and Colorado in 1997. My family loves living on the peninsula and we enjoy sharing our home with visitors from all over the world. My career before kids was in the cruise industry and hosting satisfies my inner Cruise Director and Tour Guide.
Why they chose this property
We live in a serene and peaceful neighborhood that will be great for guests wanting to enjoy a quiet getaway to Monterey. The studio is large (480 square feet), light, and the sunsets are stunning! The studio fits two people comfortably. Even though we have pets, we keep the unit pet free so our guests with allergies can enjoy the space, too.
What makes this property unique
We are about a ten-minute-drive from downtown Monterey, twenty minutes from Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach, and fifteen minutes from Carmel. Laguna Seca is five minutes away, Salinas fifteen, Big Sur a half hour and San Jose an hour.
