In fact, it's muy simpatico.
This snug little bungalow has buttercup walls, dark wood floors, and tasteful espresso furniture throughout. There's a wrought iron king bed in the master, and a trundle bed in the guest room that sleeps two. The shared bath has a shower, tile countertops, and a mirror bordered in iridescent seashells.
When you're not exploring the shoreline, surf the Internet at the breakfast bar or spread out at the full-sized desk in the guest room. Hungry? Stroll downtown, whip up a meal in the compact kitchen, or barbecue outdoors in the sheltered patio.

I'll be back!!

Great house, cute and clean. Could not have asked for a better location. Cannery row is in walking distance and the walking paths along the shore line are amazing. The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need. The only thing I found missing was a mop for the floors, and I thought they should have supplied a couple extra blankets. All in all it was a great week. We watched two Humpback whales in the bay every morning at breakfast from the dining room table. We will definitely be back to this wonderful place.

Great Bay View

My husband and I try to come to Pacific Grove every other year for at least one week. We always rent a house by the bay. This was our first stay at Casa Simpatico but it will not be our last. The house was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The view of the bay from the living room was spectacular. Because of the view, we ate dinner at "home" 4 times, which we never do. Love the location - can walk to everything Pacific Grove has to offer including the Monterey Acquarium My only suggestion - please have the kitchen knives sharpened.

A home away from home with an ocean view!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We felt right at home immediately. It was so cozy, and the well appointed kitchen made our vacation seem more like home. The location is central and close to everything. The view from the dining table was perfect, and if you wake up early you'll get a great sunrise shot (at least in September!). The bed in the master bedroom is SO comfortable - I wanted to take it home! Only 2 cons to this otherwise perfect weekend - there is a large dip at the entrance to the driveway which my small compact totally bottomed out; and my daughter stated the top trundle bed was uncomfortable. But that being said - we will still definitely be back and highly recommend this lovely home to anyone! And Monterey Rentals were so easy to deal with - they sent us detailed directions and instructions and it couldn't have been easier. Thanks Michelle!

Wonderful spring month in Pacific Grove

My husband and I spent the month of April at Casa Simpatico. It was a fantastic house for the two of us. Check in and check out were simple, with a keypad lock that meant we did not have to pick up keys or arrange a meeting time with the managers. The house was great -- better than advertised. The water "peek" is really a beautiful view from the dining room table and the front porch. The house was clean and well-equipped with things like hand and dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher soap, trash bags, and toilet paper. Of course for a month we had to buy more of most essentials. The washer, dryer, oven/stove, and dishwasher all worked great. There is plenty of space for two people to live, work, and eat in the house. The location cannot be beat. It is literally steps from the trail, water, and lovers point. Note that the driveway is really narrow. We have a small SUV and while we were able to park there, we mostly chose to use street parking for easier access in and out of the car. That said, over one month there was only one day when we had any trouble finding a place to park near the house. If work allows, I expect we will be back next year. Definitely consider Casa Simpatico for your Pacific Grove stay.

Casa Simpatica e Bellissima

This house is well named! It is very well stocked and not over done (with too many pillows, throws, artificial plants etc.) it just has useful stuff, and is nicely decorated in a style that is comfortable and practical, also tasteful but not the blue and white in vogue these days. The main king bed is comfortable and warm, we stayed for a month in January so weather was mostly cool (50s). The appliances all did their jobs, the view of the Pacific/Monterey Bay was great, could see surfers from a distance which motivated me to go for walks. The proximity to downtown is a great feature, the recreational trail is a few steps, the terrific library a few blocks, restaurants and shops 2 or 3 blocks, neighborhood has tons of great older houses to enhance walks. Would recommend for small families, singles and couples. Driveway is narrow but parking on street is easy. Grocery store 4 block walk; Trader Joe's a short drive. The heating system in winter is in livingroom, there are space heaters for the other rooms. We put one on low in bigger BR (didn't use the other BR). Gas Fireplace also warms livingroom.

The property had a very nice sea view and well kept with all the requirements and more. We had a great time. The only issue was the living area was well heated but the rest of the property was quick cold. The heaters were not enough to keep the rooms warm. Thank you. Best Regards

Casa Simpatica

We have stayed in the house 2 times. We found it very clean the first time, and adequately clean the second time. Towels and linens in good shape, although there is still a lack of adequate dish towels for drying dishes and hands. The kitchen tools and appliances are all one could need and more. The screen on the vent over the stove needs attention and cleaning. No other needs indoors that we noticed. We had to request that the windows be washed outside instead of that being part of normal expectations. However, requests, such as an additional portable heater, were dealt with quickly and in a friendly manner. We felt quite comfortable in Casa Simpatica. In fact, we have felt so comfortable that we have reserved it for a third stay!` However, so you may be aware, there are a few things that need attention. The screen on the vent over the stove, and the lower corner by the shower. We know you will take care of these, as you did on some concerns from our first stay.

Cute House in Great Location

This is an adorable little house a block from the beach. Very comfortable and pretty well maintained. It's old, but that gives it charm. Comfortable king bed. Nice big television with basic cable stations. The washer needs to be repaired or replaced. It didn't spin the towels enough so they were very wet when the cycle finished. Re-spinning them didn't help. The garbage disposal needed a slight repair, but after calling the maintenance man, he came immediately and fixed it within the day.

Good and Bad

The Casa Simpatico has some wonderful features, which are that the windows in the dining area look directly to the ocean. One could enjoy dinner for hours. Excellent location! The kitchen is well supplied with utensils, dishes, and and cutlery, and there is a little table for breakfast too. The drive way accommodates one car (two if you pull forward) and is convenient. There is a little patio behind the house which is charming, sunny, and complete with a table and chairs. The down sides are as follows: the bed is far too HIGH! the shower is a little small, and the furniture is leather which is very slippery. Conventional fabric covering would be far more comfortable so slipping to the floor is not a threat. The passage in the bedroom is a tight: one person OK, two people no.

Great view and location

We loved staying in this home. It was the perfect size for two, the location was perfect, just across the street from Lovers Point and a short walk to downtown PG with plenty of opportunity for shopping and eating. The king size bed was really comfortable and the linens were high quality. We used the second bedroom as an office because it had a small desk. The furniture in the living area was comfortable and the view from the dining table was great so we ate there and enjoyed the scenery a few times. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and accessories, everything you need to cook. The folks at Monterey Rentals were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay again soon! Thank you for a great place to stay, home away from home.

Pleasantly surprised

We have rented several vacation homes and I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little bungalow. The quality of all the amenities were a higher end of the other places we have stayed. From the plush and nice size towels, the kitchen appliances to the cozy gas fireplace. Even the trundle bed was comfortable to sleep on. In addition, the location was perfect. Easy access to the beach, lover’s point and a nice restaurant. I would highly recommend this place as a great place to stay.

Two in a Row

It is the second year that we have rented this adorable bungalow right off Lover's Point. Perfectly located, you can get up early or late and walk the Bay or to any of the local restaurants. I hate to say how wonderful it is as it could mean it won't be available for us again next year.

Lovely place

We really enjoyed Casa Simpatico. It was well furnished, and had beautiful dishes and table linens. The kitchen has everything you might need, including spices, oil and coffee. The location was terrific. I would definitely return. P.S. The grammar is off. It should be Casa Simpatica.

Paradise in Pacific Grove!

We were very impressed with our stay at Casa Simpatico. You can sit in the living room and gaze into the ocean, it was a stones throw away from the front porch! The house itself was clean and Michelle did an amazing job of making us feel like we were at our home away from home. We would highly recommend and definitely stay again!

Casa Simpatico was great for our family of four. Comfortable beds and furniture, a nice gas fireplace for cool evenings and mornings.The shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen has upgraded appliances and some of the basics like spices and coffee filters. The kids found the back room to be a little chilly and then we discovered there's a space heater in the closet! There's quite a bit of traffic, both cars and pedestrians on the weekends but that's to be expected from someplace so close to the sea. And that's where this little casita pays off. THE VIEW and the access to Lover's Point. It's incredibly beautiful! We'd take our morning coffee across the street and just sit on the wall or benches. We will definitely be coming again!

Best view and location

This was one of the best vacations I have ever had. I lived in Pacific Grove for several years during the 80s and always dreamed of having a little cottage on the water there. This cottage had it all, the beautiful bay view from the front porch and living room, just feet from the walking trail, and the nostalgic ambiance of PGs small town history. Of course, the accommodations were very clean and comfortable, including the king size bed, and all the amenities we needed were provided. There were beautiful orchids all around the living room when we arrived to make us feel at home, and I could have stayed there forever. I had two friends with me from Tennessee and it was the perfect way to share what I love about this area with them. The location is also perfect for walking downtown for shopping and restaurants or for a longer, very enjoyable walk to the aquarium. I hope to return here often to enjoy the tranquil beauty of the Monterey bay.

A feast of more than lanterns

My son, who participates annually in hosting the volleyball games during Feast of Lanterns, and I spent this past weekend steps from the court and Lovers Point. We were within easy walking distance of so much beauty as well as our favorite restaurant, Peppers, and my favorite store, Tessuit Zoo. The house was welcoming, had much sought after parking, a cute enclosed patio and more than the comforts of home. We will be back next year. Great place for a great price.

A quaint and lovely little cottage

We arrived late in the evening on a Friday. We were tired and although we could hear the ocean waves, I don't think it registered with either of us. The next morning we got up and opened the curtains and WOW! What a view! Waves breaking in the cove of Lover's Point, surfers out, people walking along the bluffs; in sum what a great location. The cottage is set up perfectly as a cozy retreat for up to 4 people but absolutely perfect for a couple. The dining table by the windows overlooking the ocean was beautifully laid out with colorful pottery dishes and bowls. The kitchen was just the right size with every appliance one might need. The town is within walking distance and of course so is the ocean. Simply put, a romantic and lovely little place. We intend to return!

Perfect Pink Beach House

It's our first family vacation just us and our toddler and it couldn't have been better. The cozy little beach house was in the perfect location blocks to sandy cove and more restaurants than we could chose but with an ocean view we enjoyed a few meals at the adorable dinning table. The decore and extras made it so homey. There was everything we needed and more. Seems like a obvious statement but in my experience it's not; it was impeccably cleaned as well. Thank you so much!

Casa Simpatico

The house is the perfect size for 3 people! The location was great as it is close to the beach and restaurants in PG. Monterey is only a short walk about on the beautiful coast trail. We loved it!
