we had a great time, the host was very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat! we walked to the French quarter and bourbon street multiple times. kids did great and it was not too far of a distance.
We booked this little location over a year ago. The plan was to enjoy a birthday weekend in NOLA. Just so happened to also be superbowl weekend! Location was great. A little loud at night with all the doors and little weather stripping around them. You can hear conversations people were having in the streets. Parking was right by the stairs. It's a neat little apartment. Great kitchen, comfy bed, AC worked well! Close enough to everywhere we wanted to go and we felt comfortable walking everywhere we needed to go. Layout is a little strange, as the second bedroom is off the main and you have to walk through the main bedroom to enter and exit that bedroom. There is a door that closes between them. We enjoyed our stay there.
This was the perfect little place for 4 adults. It was very convenient with a 15 min walk to the French Quarter and not much more to Bourbon St. the area was great and the beds were very comfy.
They spot was great, just what we needed. Very close to Louis Armstrong park. Close to Frenchman and Bourbon. The one thing to specify is there is no privacy in the room with the bed. And there is a door to the other bedroom, but you have to got through the open bedroom To get to it. Host was fantastic. . Beds were very cozy!
Host was very communicative and accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable (the queen and both mattresses on the bunk bed), as a note the couch that can be converted into a bed in the livingroom wasn't very comfortable for people with back problems looking to use it! Overall it was a great place and very clean, highly recommend!
It's about a mile walk to canal street and jackson square. My group felt safe in the Treme neighborhood although I don't know if I'd walk around by myself at night. I highly recommend Calas Cafe for great coffee/calas, and to learn about the history of the neighborhood.
We had a wonderful stay at Treme Hideaway! Great location for walking or biking or accessing bus lines. Centrally located yet also close to French Quarter. Comfy beds and nice bathroom and sitting area. We were able to cook breakfasts and snacks in the kitchen, preferred to eat dinner at amazing restaurants in New Orleans. Nice bathroom, plenty of hot water, good air conditioning.
We stayed here for a week with our 2 college-age kids. The apartment was perfect for that -- with a queen bed for us and a bunk bed for our kids. It's in a much quieter neighborhood than the French Quarter or Marigny -- but still within walking distance. It was a perfect retreat when we needed a break from all the activity. Also -- Louis Armstrong Park is a few blocks away and often hosts free music festivals.
There are 2 great cafes 2 blocks away, and great restaurants and live music available nearby. Go to Kermit's Mother-in-Law Lounge on Thursday night for steak night!
Angell was very helpful and even gave us a complimentary late checkout.
The only downsides to note -- the apartment smelled strongly of weed when we arrived -- needed airing out. And there are 2 German Shepherds in a gated yard across the street that barked frequently when disturbed by people walking by.
Very clean digs right outside the French Quarter. Loved the comfy beds and the proximity to the Backstreet Cultural Museum and Fatma’s right up the street. Would definitely stay here again! The host was very responsive and everything was exactly as described.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. We also love that the property was located away from the busy parts of New Orleans but close enough to walk there.
Girls trip to Mardi Gras! Location was excellent. Walking distance to most places we visited. Very few places that we needed to Uber to. The unit was clean, exceptionally stocked, and very comfortable for the 6 of us. Only downfall was seating in the living room. Only a futon for all of us in the evening to hang out. It could use a couple more chairs. Our host was also exceptional. I had several correspondences with them and they always responded very quickly. Thank you for our wonderful trip!
Its a multi-unit building just 4 blocks from the French Quarter. We didnt hear other guests and parking was MUCH easier than in the French Quarter (and free). That said, we just walked eveywhere, Frenchman St, Jackson Sq, Canal St for trolleys, etc. Other than being a little drafty on cold nights, everything was great. Loved our stay in New Orleans, would stay here again.
The location was great, it was about a 20-25 minute walk to anywhere we wanted to go which wasn't bad. Its quiet at night and there are some great local spots nearby for breakfast. It did end up being an awkward set up as no one besides the bunk bed room gets any privacy as its the only true bedroom with a door. Its connected to the room with the queen bed which is where I slept. They would have to walk theough my room and through the living room where another guest was on the couch to get to the bathroom. The beds were comfy, not so much the couch per my friend that slept on it, and the place was stocked with everything we needed to get through 4 nights which was amazing. Laundry was easy to access and free which was great. All in all I would definitely stay again just maybe with less people and more family set up then friend group.
Four of us traveled from Northern California for a long weekend in NOLA. From the first night until check out, the host Angell was amazing. She was responsive, kind and sent us ideas of experiences/things going on. The neighbor is safe and relatively quiet. (School mornings are a bit noisy with the 'welcome' announcements.) The beds are very soft, there were plenty of towels, etc. It worked out great for us. We walked over 10 miles a day, so those stairs at the end of the day were something! LOL! Overall a wonderful trip.
The title says it all. We had a blast walking to the French Quarter and enjoying the festivities. It was also the perfect distance away so the night was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful, clean apartment and a responsive host. Can't wait to stay again!
Perfect for our stay. We weren’t in the house much so it was everything we needed. It was clean and the coffee shop close by was delicious, highly recommend.
