Convenient location 6 minutes south of downtown. Nicely appointed and layout of the home. The covered patio with fire pit really sets this home apart from other listings.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wood Duck Lodge. Plenty of room for three couples to enjoy time together - and some space apart. The various outside seating areas were very nice and we loved watching the bird life at the little backyard pond. Thank you for a lovely 3-day getaway.
We had 3 couples staying at the house and it was just perfect for us. We really loved the upper patio with couches to hang out in the morning drinking coffee.
We had such a lovely time at Wood Duck Lodge. We visited a beautiful June weekend and enjoyed most of our time on the upstairs patio around the fire. The kitchen was well stocked in cooking supplies and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals. Also, the proximity to Southside wineries is only a 10-minute drive which was very convenient.
Arriving and entering the property was simply beautiful and the backyard was gorgeous! We were lucky enough to still catch the beautiful fall colors just steps outside the back door. The home was co clean and everything in its place if I could I would give this home 10 star rating. We will definitely stay here again thank you for sharing your home!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Wood Duck Lodge. The pictures of the property are spot on and we enjoyed relaxing inside and outside. There are two master bedrooms with ensuites, however the master on the main floor did not have a shower, but there was a shower in the other bathroom on that floor. The location was 10 - 12 minutes away for everything we had planned and its on a very quiet street. We would stay here again.
Wood Duck is a nice house. It has just about everything you need for a comfortable visit in Walla Walla with friends (5 of us). The property is nicely , landscaped and has a private pond with ducks. It was a little too cool to enjoy the very nice outdoor patios.
The neighborhood is quiet and located within short drives to all of our destinations.
One drawback; there is not enough hot water for more than a short shower. Two bedrooms have large tubs but neither could be filled to a comfortable level and still be warm. Only one person can shower and the next is about 30 min later.
Property’s backyard and outdoor living spaces were gorgeous! Beds were super comfortable!! Was surprised by the $500+ in host fees. I did not pay close attention to this when booking. Sadly, we wont be staying here again because of the high fees.
Nice but probably would not use again. Reason, the tiny bedroom upstairs. Window sealed shut so no fresh air. Bathroom nearby barely large enough to turn around in. Other upstairs bedroom with bath only no shower. Nice property, beautiful deck and patio overlooking gorgeous back yard.
We were all impressed with the beautiful grounds and quiet neighborhood. The house is very roomy inside with lots of sitting areas for a group of people. The kitchen was very well stocked with good quality cookware. It was also very clean! The drawback in our bedroom upstairs was there was only a tub and no shower. It was workable but would have been better if they had at least a sprayer attachment on the tub for easier rinsing for your hair. The sliding door from that bedroom to the balcony was impossible for me to even budge open but my husband could slide it with some difficulty. The queen one bedroom you had to go out into the hallway to access that bathroom. We had 3 couples but would have been better for a large family. Outside seating areas were nice! It was less than 15 minutes to all our favorite wineries. Would definitely come back.
We wish we would have had more time to thoroughly enjoy the property. Everyone was very impressed by the house and its environs. I really appreciated the T.V.'s hook-up that allowed us to watch the NCAA final four match up with Duke and Houston. The kitchen was as advertised - fully equiped and did not want for any dishes, glasses, utensils, knives, cutting boards, pans, et., etc., etc., Thanks.A couple of issues we want to note. In the upstairs bedroom upstairs room with the double bed and no en suite bathroom the window could not be opened because it had screws placed at the top of the window slide which prevented it from opening. We think that may be a fire code violation and not a good thing in any event given that is an all wood house. Also, the pinewood light switch cover in the upstairs ing size bedroom en suite bathroom is broken and it was that way when we go there. Also, above the jacuzzi in that same bathroom there is a whole in the wall above the tub with two screws - but nothing attached. Finally it was disappointing not to have a shower in that bathroom.
Well appointed kitchen, all of the gadgets we needed to make meals, including spices. Quiet neighborhood and close enough (2 miles) to walk to Pioneer Park where there is a great aviary. Plenty of seating for 3 couples and we enjoyed the pool table. The couple sleeping in the basement got cold and turned the thermostat up. We tried to open the window in the smaller of the upstairs bedrooms and found the windows to be un-openable. The lighting in the hallway bathroom wasn't very good for a cloudy day shower. When the upstairs ensuite has a shower it will be easier for multiple couples. We would stay here again and would enjoy the outside spaces in warmer weather.
Terrific spot in Walla Walla, quiet street, lovely home. Great beds, great towels, beautifully equipped kitchen(s), and garage spaces...we have an adult son living in WW and we loved being able to spend family time & cook together here. The outdoor spaces are as nice as the indoor spaces - we can't wait to visit again!
House, location, and grounds were incredible. All the conveniences you could need with plenty of room to spread out. Check in process was simple and very accommodating to our earlyish arrival. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.
Lovely home with a beautiful backyard and a very well stocked kitchen.
The robes and slippers in every bedroom was a lovely touch. The linens were very nice and the house was spotless.
One of the bedrooms does not have a shower and that was not clear in the listing but that would not stop me from renting this home again.
A couple folks in our group felt a little put off by the camera on the back deck.
We were very pleasantly surprised to have such quiet privacy in a park like setting setting, yet close to all activities in town and wineries
This home was nicely appointed with everything you need, 2 kitchens. 2 entertaining areas indoors and outdoors
We'll be back!
