After checking prices of rooms in Anchorage, we found this place. It was significantly less expensive. The room was exactly as advertised. Ben, our host was extremely helpful in terms of finding places to go and suggesting places to go eat. Ben had the perfect mix of being helpful and also giving us our privacy. Positive: no window in bedroom so you don’t have the constant sunlight. Also only a short ride to the airport. Negative: decor and furniture very run down. Everything was old and peeling. Didn’t like that we weren’t able to lock the doors to the room as there are two outside doors that lead to the main room. I’m sure that this place would be great for someone else, just not me.
