As seen in Alaska's Best Kitchens Magazine, this custom-designed upper-level triplex boasts not only a grand-prize kitchen but also a one-of-a-kind retreat. In a private park-like setting, your lush hideaway offers a gorgeous garden paradise (shared with the other rentals in the triplex). Make dinner on the gas grill, dine alfresco, and soak in the hot tub while taking in the breathtaking views of Cook Inlet.

The expansive views continue inside, where you’ll find a masterpiece of style and design. The crowning jewel is the kitchen, of course, described as “truly Alaskan with a bit of California Redwoods” by the magazine. Made from recycled fixtures and green materials, this iconic space features a steam oven, convection oven, two dishwashers, a Miele cooktop, and an exquisite redwood island.

Upstairs, two well-appointed bedrooms offer plenty of space to unwind - each has an office nook for working and learning remotely. Downstairs, a tranquil sunroom provides additional sleeping space with a sofa that can pull out to a twin or double bed.

THINGS TO KNOW
This home is the upper floor of a tri-plex and there are two additional rentals downstairs that can be rented as well.
The driveway allows for one vehicle per rental and any additional vehicles can be parked on the street easily.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for extra guests at any time. Violating the maximum occupancy of six people will result in immediate eviction from the premises of all parties. No refunds will be issued.
The fireplace shown in the photos is an aesthetic feature only and is not available for guest use.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Pretty home; very poor experience

We booked this home 7 months before our stay as a private, full home experience for my family. While the home has a nice view and kitchen, the stay was extremely uncomfortable for a number of reasons. When we arrived, we quickly put our things in the house to change and begin exploring the area. As my family was doing so, my younger family members alerted me that they were uncomfortable as there were two men standing near the street, but inside the property line, and watching. To clarify, they were between the trash barrels and the front door, which is the only portion near the street that provides a full access view inside of the home. Because of this, I urged them to get into the car so we can explore and begin the trip on a better foot. The two men stood their ground as my family paraded by them into the car, and I began to ask what they’re doing as I locked the door. Turns out, one of the two men owns the property. We then found that owner, and his wife, in or on the property every single time we were walking out, or pulling back in. We felt uncomfortably surveilled for the entirety of our stay, to say the least. We paid for a private, full home experience, and received anything but. When we arrived we learned the house is split into 3 units (not advertised @ time of booking); so our full home booking just was 1 unit. It also does not sleep 8. There were no sheets or pillows for the pull out couch, meaning there were only 3 places to sleep provided. Not worth

Jennifer, we are glad you thought our home was nice and that you enjoyed the view and kitchen. That said, we are disheartened to read that you experienced issues that kept you from fully enjoying your stay. We shared your comments with the local manager who assured us that they have spoken with the owners about the experience and they noted that they were doing landscaping during your visit and they did not mean to disturb your party. They do all the landscaping and property care for this home and take the opportunity to address anything that needs attention while the weather is cooperating and we regret any inconvenience this caused. We apologize for any discomfort you felt and have noted that they will adjust their approach in the future so as not to encounter this issue with future guests. On the upside, this property has an amazing, huge lawn space and beautiful landscaping that is meticulously cared for by the owners who truly enjoy sharing their property with others. Regarding the sheets and pillows, they are in the closet directly next to the downstairs bathroom and we are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. Please know you could have reached out to our Guest Services team during your stay and they would have been happy to assist. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future and provide an amazing vacation experience.

Views from everywhere!

This house was such a pleasant surprise, it far exceeded the description and pictures. This is a magazine quality house, literally it is featured in magazines! The house defies a few short words. The location is on the beautiful Bootleggers Cove, and only 4 blocks from downtown.
